Welcome to the seventeenth article of Kpopmap's monthly series "K-Pop Besties"!
This series is celebrating all of the different friendships that exist in K-Pop. We will look at some of the moments when K-Pop idols (and sometimes actors) showed off their close friendships with one another and other entertainment industry members.

ATEEZ's WooYoung and TXT's YeonJun's Friendship
This month we're featuring ATEEZ's WooYoung and TXT's YeonJun. If you are a new K-Pop fan you might not know how their friendship started. Let's take a look back at their friendship.
This friendship duo is known by the nickname 'Darlingz' and goes way back. They became friends before they debuted. The two have been friends since their first year of high school when they started practicing together. This can explain why they are both known as some of the best performers among 4th generation K-Pop idols.

They have the best chemistry and are a symbol of the ultimate bromance.
Support during Trainee Periods
WooYoung once mentioned that YeonJun played a huge part in his being able to debut and become an idol. YeonJun gave him a lot of support when he was a trainee. Not only did YeonJun give WooYoung support and encouragement, but he was also a source of inspiration for him. He also spoke about how YeonJun gave him a shoulder to lean on and he would even hug him when he cried after failing a monthly evaluation test.
They have supported each other through their respective trainee periods and even with their current promotional activities. They even tune into each other's live streams when they have the time.

One of the sweetest comments that YeonJun has made about WooYoung is when he described him as soil. No matter how much you dig, WooYoung has endless charm just like the soil. That is how fondly they think of each other.

On a daily basis, they refer to each other by the pet names 'honey' and 'darling'.

The duo also dreamed of being on stage together one day and managed to achieve that dream through the 2021 MAMA awards. We love to see a friendship that is so goal-oriented and inspiring.
