Kpopmap Fan Interview: A Brazilian ATINY Talks About Her Favorite Group ATEEZ & Her Bias JongHo

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other's stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Gabriela from Brazil is the next fan to answer our questions. She is a fan of ATEEZ and more particularly of JongHo! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where you are from?

Hi, my name is Gabriela and I'm from Brazil!

How and when did you join the fandom?

I first heard a friend comment on ATEEZ at a party we had in high school (in 2019). She asked me if I had heard of the boys but I said NO, so months later (August 2019) I decided to research more about them and here I am.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

I love ATEEZ because they are such kind and gentle people. It is inexplicable the size of the affection and love that they all have with all the ATINYs, in addition to always wanting to bring the best to all of us with their effort and dedication!

Who caught your attention at the beginning and why?

First, without a doubt, it was Jeong YunHo. When I looked at that tall boy with blue hair, I was automatically curious to know more about him and the group haha.

Who is your bias, and why?

My bias is Choi JongHo. It took me a while to truly embrace him as my main bias, but finally it happened. JongHo is an extremely good boy inside and out and very talented. I think one of the reasons I have him as my bias is because of our match. I see that I have a personality similar to JongHo and that makes my connection with him stronger.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

I would recommend it for the title track 'Inception'. Every scene in the MV is breathtaking and the chorus is wonderful. ATEEZ in student clothes was the charm.

For a B-side, I recommend 'Be With You'. An intense and exciting track.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance or individual content video of your choice to our readers?

I would like to recommend this fancam of JongHo because he is very beautiful in this look for the 'Deja Vu' stage. His facial expressions and dancing show how good he is not just with his vocals, but as a WHOLE!

For individual content, I couldn't help but recommend 'Jongst' (쭁ST ) where JongHo shows his potential by singing K-drama OSTs with his soft and sweet voice bringing us a sense of peace when listening to him sing.

Can you also make the same type of recommendation to the group?

For group content, I recommend the "ATEEZ Log (Logbook)" where it shows behind the scenes of the boys in their participation in programs/events (etc..)

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

I really like the lyrics of 'Thank U'.
The part "Thank you for being able to walk beside you" is how I see as my life with ATEEZ. This song reminds me how grateful I am to have known them and I feel happy knowing I can count on them for all things. So it's a very important song for me!

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc?

A little of everything, but if I have to choose one, I really like the sexy one (something very powerful because it suits them).

If your bias were to collab with another idol, who do you think would be best?

Seo WooBin (CRAVITY). Both are my bias and their vocals would be a great match.

What's your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias?

The moment he was cast to sing an OST (music) for a Korean program. The name of the song is called 'Youth Fairytale' from the program "Young Actors' Retreat".

Can you recommend a cute or funny video (30s)/gif of your bias to our readers?

Just JongHo playing with his hyung MinGi, shooting an arrow hahaha.

What is the influence of your favorite group/bias on your daily life?

He motivates me to move forward, to face obstacles and fulfill my dreams. He is always saying positive/motivational things and about love.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

Knowing that thousands of people are supporting my favorite artist and having the opportunity to socialize with the fandom to enjoy together.
