There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other' stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi, I am the Head Admin of NINE.i Philippines and of course, I am from the Philippines.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I became a fan of NINE.i during their pre-debut the same day when they were introduced on Facebook. That was on January 9, 2022. I remember that FirstOne Entertainment page shared a post of NINE.i which is their Profile Photo (Photo Below). I am following the FirstOne Entertainment page because it is the company of a PPOP (Pinoy POP) boygroup I am supporting called 1ST. ONE. Since they are in the same company I decided to stan them, also I know that they would be a great artist because they are under FirstOne Entertainment and I am not wrong with that. I made NINE.i Philippines page the same day as well.

What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group?

Simply because they are so talented and adorable. I saw a lot of potential in them and with that, I know that they will be a great artist and will be able to inspire many people through their music. One thing is they don’t give up their dreams to be an idol. I learned that some of the members have joined a survival show and unfortunately they were not able to debut at that time. But they don’t stop dreaming. Instead, they continue to strive hard just to pursue their dreams and now luckily they were able to debut and I am glad that debuted as NINE.i seems like they are destined to be in a group called NINE.i. To add and to tell you honestly why I love this group it is because of their amazing songs. A Chef’s Kiss indeed!

What do you think differentiates this rookie group from the others?

Honestly, I am just new to K-Pop so I can’t differentiate them from the others. But all I can say is they are so amazing and I love the way one of its members (Vahn) was involved in producing all of their songs and together with JooHyoung in writing the lyrics.

For the readers who are completely new to the group and members, can you introduce them with your own words?

Hello everyone this is NINE.i my fave K-Pop group right now. They serve as one of my inspirations. Hope you can check them out.

Who caught your attention at first and why? Did you know any members prior to their debut?

The first one that caught my attention was Vari. It is because of his TikTok video dancing to a particular song he is just so good.

Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why.

MinJun is the one, I love his attitude. He seems to be kind. To be honest, I love all the members. I don’t want to have a bias for real because I wanted to be an OT10 but I can’t because of MinJun.

What do you particularly like in this debut title track? Do you have a favorite B-side?

I love everything about it, but what I really like is the story of the song. It is hard to choose one only from their B-Side because all of them sound really good.

Can you recommend a fancam, VLive, cover video, cover dance, or other from your favorite group or bias?

Bonk Video of JeWon I think? From their VLive I would like to recommend their first-ever live on that app when they celebrate their 50 days as NINE.i.

Before their debut, they had a lot of covers. Their 'BOY' Dance cover (Original song by TREASURE) was my favorite, that is because it is their first dance cover. I want to recommend their 'Waterfall' Dance Cover as well (Original Song by B.I.). They ate that in every possible way.

What are the things you are looking for in their future activities?

More shows or Live, Vlog, cover and anything that will showcase their talent and personalities. Also, I just love to see them having a strong bond with each other.

What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being Happy and Healthy?

Right now, I want them to have their first win. Looking forward to that SOON!

What is your first comment on a live broadcast of your favorite idol?

“Hello NINE.i” from what I remember.

If you have a chance to cook for the group, what will you cook for them?

I’ll cook some Filipino dishes for them like ADOBO, SINIGANG and many more.
