Kpopmap Fan Interview: A Spanish THX Talks About Her Favorite Group TNX And Her Bias SungJun

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other' stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Ari is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from Spain and is a fan of TNX, and particularly of SungJun. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Good morning, my name is Ari and I am one of the administrators of the fan base dedicated to TNX: TNX ESPAÑA (spain in Spanish).

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I love idol survival shows, I've already lost count of how many I've watched. One day it was announced that a new show directed by PSY and JYP was going to be held.
As a fan of these programs, I started following it before its premiere and of course during it. I fell madly in love with the boys and wanted to support them in every possible way, so I've been since its inception.

What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group?

TNX has shown to have a very good talent and motivation, from the first moment that the members of TNX came out in "LOUD", they caught me, not only because of their great beauty, but also because of the effort and talent they possess. The truth is that they have fought a lot to get where they are, and they have great affection from their fans and company.

What do you think differentiates this rookie group from the others?

It may be that many groups have similarities and it is that in these times many boys and girls debut, looking to achieve their dreams. However, I think TNX has its own light. Just as many have made an effort, I see through TNX a great light that unites them, a light that makes them unique in the eyes of THX. I think it's themselves and their personalities that make them stand out in their own way.

For the readers who are completely new to the group and members, can you introduce them with your own words?

I will say my personal opinion about what they instill on me.
TaeHun: He is the leader of the group, he is serene and hardworking always willing to care for and help his members. Sometimes he can get frustrated by something that he thinks he has not done well, but he manages to get out of it. He tries hard to achieve his goals, and carry the name of TNX high.
KyungJun: The word that can define him is "beautiful", but not only is he beautiful, but he is warm and loving. He is very shy and at first glance, it may seem that he is not comfortable or that he does not interact much with the members or fans, but when he gains enough confidence, it's the opposite. He's loving and understanding, he raps and sings, it's incredible what one person can do. He grew up in Australia so he can speak English fluently.
HyunSoo: If one word can define HyunSoo, it's "joking and laughing". He always has a smile for his members and THX. He is very competitive and gives everything on his part to achieve his goals. He was about to not debut on TNX, but PSY knew how to value the great rapper he is, and not only that he can also take on the role of vocal. You should go see him in 'Move'. He takes good care of others and is always there when needed.
JunHyeok: "Angel voice" JunHyeok is the main vocalist of TNX and the truth is that thanks to his charismatic presence and voice, we can enjoy ourselves as if we were in heaven. He transmits a lot of peace. He tries very hard to the point of the expense of himself. He cares a lot about doing everything as well as possible. He doesn't miss a single mistake and if he does, the next time you see him, he will give 1000% of it. It is one of the pillars of TNX. They themselves recognize it.
Hwi: His real name is EunHwi, he is a "genius composer" and this is the real one. In "LOUD", he already showed us how he composed his first songs by himself in his home studio. He was a Cello player during his childhood, but he discovered that his true love was making music. He is part of producing many of the TNX songs. During his debut, he already has composed several audio tracks not only for TNX but also for variety shows like "HIT Village". He is a rapper in the group and he does it phenomenally.
Last but not least we have:
SungJun: The youngest of the group, but there is need not to worry. Even though he is the youngest, he can still make fun of his elders. He likes joking and loves to annoy HyunSoo or TaeHun. He is very attached to KyungJun known as 2Jun, since from "LOUD" and even before the show. They were living together in a tent in the living room of the room. Everyone takes great care of him, you can tell. He is subvocal and his expressions are wonderful to see.
This is all. I could contribute many more things about it, but I think that this is more than enough. Do not hesitate to follow them because you will not regret it.

Who caught your attention at first and why? Did you know any members prior to their debut?

The first one that caught my attention was JunHyeok for his incredible voice in the first chapters of "LOUD". When I saw him I said "I have to adopt him" and that's how it was, then the others began to occupy that space in my heart.

Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why.

The truth is that I can't choose one, since the seven of them have me trapped, each one with their own personality, but if I have to choose someone, it would be SungJun, since I have always felt a weakness for the smallest of the groups. It gives me a feeling that I have to protect him from this world that is so cruel.

What do you particularly like in this debut title track?

I loved the style on which they have based themselves to interpret that album. The truth is that the concept like that badass fits them a lot hahaha.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or other from your favorite group or bias?

I recommend that you watch all the TNX fancams in "LOUD". You can't miss them, you can see the evolution they have had so far.

What are the things you are looking for in their future activities?

The main thing is that they are comfortable with what they do, I would like to see them doing a less serious variety show than they one had.
That they rest after these weeks of promotion is something that I also wish.

Name a variety show/content show that you would love to see your bias on? Tell us why.

I would like to see him on "Weekly idol", I have loved that program since its inception, I think SungJun would be very comfortable doing the challenges proposed by the MCs and it would be fun to see other facets of him, and of course TNX in general.

If your bias were to collab with another idol, who do you think would be best?

Here I will decide according to my personal preferences.
I would love for SungJun to collaborate with a member of BTOB. I think the one with whom he could get along better and make a good duo would be with Yook SungJae, both maknae and also their personalities (in my opinion) are very similar.
Another collaboration that I would like would be with a member of the group TREASURE. I think their styles complement each other. Among TREASURE members, I would like it to be with JungHwan, since they are the same age. It would be nice if they both became friends.

What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc?

I prefer a type of concept between dark and cute, depending on their way of being. These types of concept suit them more than a sexy one.

Can you share with readers the first ever picture you've saved of your bias on your phone?

The first picture I have of SungJun is him making a V symbol with his hands in "LOUD".

Can you describe your bias in only one word?

"For me, my bias is..."

For me SungJun is like a son. It's not that I'm old enough to be his mother, but he gives me tenderness. Also the world of being an idol is very complicated. For that reason, I want to defend him from all those who want to harm them, like a mother who takes care of his children, tooth and nail.
Same for all TNX members.

Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias?

I've cried a lot for SungJun. Where I cried the most was in three specific moments, it was during the LOUD stage.
1. The first was in the first chapters when JYP and PSY had to choose who came in loud and who left. I cried a lot when PSY didn't choose SungJun, I felt sorry that he was separated from his classmates.
2. Another of the moments very similar to the previous one was when the boys themselves had to choose who they were going with, whether with JYP or PSY. When SungJun chose PSY, it was the happiest moment of my life and I cried there too.
3. Finally, you can already imagine in which part I cry the most, yes, at the moment where the final members of P NATION were chosen when SungJun's name came out, there was no one to calm me down.
Well, and there are other moments of laughter, a lot when he annoys his teammates, specifically HyunSoo and KyungJun, or when he's doing a variety show. I laugh a lot at how he behaves.

What's your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias?

When I saw him for the first time with his dyed hair, it was when I said "GOD HOW HANDSOME HE IS! HE CHANGED SO MUCH," and I wiped my tears, seeing how much he had grown hahaha.

If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together?

I would love to do so many things, but I think I would do what is most comfortable for them: that is a total day of rest without effort, just to have fun.
For example, we would go to eat, to the movies or simply have a picnic in a green park where they can laugh and enjoy the surroundings, I think it would be something wonderful to see.
