There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other's stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Faith is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from the Philippines and is a fan of BLANK2Y, and particularly of SoDam and DongHyuk. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello, my name is Faith and I'm from Philippines.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

Around December I saw a tweet about a new boy group that will be debuting. I waited for members to be revealed then finally— I got more curious about the members and them as a group so I watch their contents and decided to support BLANK2Y pre-debut.

What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group?

I like their group dynamics and they really have a cool stage presence. Go Up BLANK2Y!

Who caught your attention at first and why? Did you know any members prior to their debut?

DongHyuk caught my attention first, when they released his 'Yellow' (YoungBin's song) song cover. His voice is sooo good.
YoungBin and Louis are the members I know prior debut, because I watched "I-LAND" before and I listen to 1the9 songs.

Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why.

I think... SoDam and DongHyuk but I like all the members!
SoDam, because he's cute haha he usually look shy but when he comes up on stage he gets so confident and I always get impressed when I watch him perform. I also love his tone colour.
DongHyuk, because of how passionate he is for being a singer/an idol. He also gives K2YWE encouraging words when he post a tweet or letter on fancafe and he's just so lovable!

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

They have released two title track so I recommend both, 'Thumbs Up' from their 1st mini album and 'FUEGO(Burn It up)' from 2nd mini album.

For the B-side track I recommend their fansong 'I Wish'. The song is beautiful and so calming to me.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or other from your favorite group or bias?

This DongHyuk "Inkigayo" facecam! He said in one of their interview that it's his favorite video.

I would like to add this "Music Bank" stage where you can hear their live vocals.

Lastly, I also recommend two covers that they did. 'Thrill Ride' (BLOSSOM THE HOPE Video Timestamp: 1:05:30 - 1:06:47) by THE BOYZ and 'Be There For You' by NCT Dream (Louis & YoungBin).

What are the things you are looking for in their future activities?

I wanna see them guesting on radio shows and more variety shows. I'm also looking forward to season 2 of "BLANK2Y'S" (Their reality show). For new fans or if they're getting to know BLANK2Y, I suggest watching it!

What is your best souvenir with your favorite group until now?

I think it's the DongHyuk polaroid that I won from a streaming event. I put some stickers on it then showed it to him on fancafe and he replied :).

What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc?

I prefer bright/refreshing concept! I hope we'll get to see BLANK2Y do these various concepts in their future activities. They will surely do great.

Can you recommend words that your bias like to hear to new fans who don't know yet about it?

SoDam replied to me on fancafe before and said that he really like compliments about his singing!

What's your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias?

My favourite moment is when BLANK2Y debuted.

Name a variety show/content show that you would love to see your bias on? Tell us why.

I would love to see BLANK2Y on a Dingo show.
Aside from getting to know the members more, their chemistry is good! Lot of people might enjoy watching then get interested with them. And I think DongHyuk suits being an MC for a music show.

If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together?

If I could spend a day with them I want to go to an amusement park, then we're gonna eat delicious food and take photos of the sky.

Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias?

Not just with my bias but with the BLANK2Y members as whole. It was on their debut showcase. I teared up while they were singing 'Constellation'.
