Kpopmap Fan Interview: A Filipino THX Talks About Her Favorite Group TNX & Her Bias Hwi

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other' stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Kennie is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from the Philippines and is a fan of TNX, and particularly of Hwi. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

I'm Kennie & I'm residing in the Philippines.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I watched them during "Boys be LOUD" era. I don't consider myself as a fan back then but I already admire these boys so much. I waited for their comeback to see how well they'll improve in such a short time. As soon as I watched their MV, that's when I decided to be part of the fandom because I saw so much potential on them.

What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group?

Their passion, talent, and relationship/closeness to each other.

For the readers who are completely new to the group and members, can you introduce them with your own words?

Eun Hwi - the group's producer. Psy & JYP already acknowledged his works during "LOUD". JYP even said he wants to buy his song 'CChill'. Very outgoing and playful. Anti-aegyo 😂
Choi TaeHun - leader of the group. He's has a very good personality. Members loves to tease him 😂
Woo KyungJun - a.k.a Justin Woo. He's the most shy member.
Oh SungJun - the maknae of the group but also acts as the hyung.
Cheon JunHyeok - the powerful ace. Have a very powerful voice, good in dancing and rapping. Also trying to learn producing by the help of Hwi. Our aegyo king.
Jang HyunSoo - our squishiest cheeks. Short-tempered at times but that looks cute on him. Lead dancer of the group.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Cheon JunHyeok, because he is very talented. I also love his vocals, so powerful.

Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why.

My bias is Eun Hwi. I was amazed by the improvement he made during "LOUD" to debut. Watch their performance & you can't even tell that he once struggled in dancing. He received criticism about it & I guess that's what motivates him to become who he is now. That mindset is what I admired him the most.

What do you particularly like in this debut title track? Do you have a favorite B-side?

It's very upbeat and catchy. I also love their synchronization when dancing. As for the B-Side 'Your Favorite Melody'.

What are the things you are looking for in their future activities?

I want them to be on variety show so people can see the more goofy side of TNX.

What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being Happy and Healthy?

I want them to gain recognition worldwide and see their songs chart in Korean music sites as well as billboard.

If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign?

Concert sounds good but I think I prefer fan meeting more. Fans can interact with them more and see their goofiness.

If you can spend a day with your bias, where will you go and what will you do?

A walk in the beach would be great. I want to give him time to relax after all their busy schedule, while sipping his favorite Iced Americano ❤️.

To TNX, I wish you to be more successful in the future. I hope to see you in a world tour too, pls include the Philippines 🤭 and to my bias, Eun Hwi, I am very proud of you. I know you tried very hard to fit in the group. Your practices are worth it! Looking forward to hearing all of your music. Please know that I will always be here supporting you and the whole group.
