There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other' stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi! My name is Gale, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Washington State, USA.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I entered the fandom in September 2021, not long after Megamax debuted, when my friend showed me their profile and I checked out their debut MV for 'Painted÷LOVE:)'!

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

I love MEGAMAX because their music and concept are just my style, and the members are very talented funny and sweet guys.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

The member who caught my attention first was definitely RoHan. His unique style and powerful vocals captivated me immediately and I was really impressed by him.

Who is your bias, and why?

My bias in MEGAMAX is Iden. He is the main rapper, and I became his fan after I heard his rap in their B-Side 'Chemistory', I was so impressed by his rap that I started biasing him.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

I recommend the title track ' Painted÷LOVE:)' because it's a very refreshing love song and perfect for summer, and it has an English and Korean version.

For their B-Sides, I highly recommend listening to 'Chemistory'! Not only is it my favorite song by MEGAMAX but it's upbeat and fun tune always puts me in a good mood.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

I recommend Iden's TikTok cover of 'Run BTS' because it really shows his charm!

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

I recommend this video because the members look so pretty. This stage is definitely one of my favorites!

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

My favorite lyric is "I know that it's not easy, the watercolors bleeding," from 'Painted Love'. This line is sung so elegantly by HA.EL that I am entranced and keep wanting to hear it again.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

In one of Iden's letters from fancafe he said, "Let go of all the tiredness and hardships in your daily life. I love you, MAXIMUM", and I think it's one of the things that comforts me the most these days, so I would like to share it.

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

My daily life is much more fun and happier after stanning MEGAMAX and meeting other MAXIMUM who I can talk to and share things with about the members and support MEGAMAX together. I love talking with other MAXIMUMs everyday!

What is your best souvenir with your favorite group until now?

The members replied to my comments in fancafe, Twitter, and V Live, especially when members JiNi and HA.EL replied to my video edits for them during their mention parties, because I love editing and I'm so glad that they loved my edits for them.

If you are collecting goods, what is your most precious treasure?

My photocards from my "Painted÷LOVE:)" albums!

What's your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias?

I was lucky enough to have an advertisement I designed displayed in a subway in Korea for Iden's birthday, and he took photos with it and posted them. That is one of my favorite moments from this year and I'm extremely grateful.

I've been your fan since debut and I've seen how hard you have worked since then and I'm so happy to see how much you've improved. Your stages are all so amazing and I'm impressed every time. Please never give up because I love seeing the members shine and have fun on stage, and me and so many other MAXIMUM are supporting you from all parts of the world, I love you guys so much!
