Kpopmap Fan Interview: A Nepali "AROHA In A Million" Talks About Her Favorite Group ASTRO

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other' stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Estrella is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from Nepal and is a fan of ASTRO. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi, I'm Estrella. My friends called me Nanna. I'm from Nepal.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I used to watch K-Drama very often. I watched the drama called "My ID is Gangnam Beauty". I saw Cha EunWoo and my curiosity make me search about EunWoo. Through EunWoo, I was introduced to ASTRO. I'm an AROHA since 2018.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

Their friendship is main reason to be AROHA. Their bonds with each other is very pure. I always cherish for their friendship.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Of course Cha EunWoo get my attention through drama. His hairstyle is so different.

Who is your bias, and why?

Honestly, I never thought about choosing a bias. I join fandom because of their friendship, and later on I discovered that they're very unique from each other. So, no bias.... I love all the members.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

My all time favorite is '1 in a Million' and 'ONE&ONLY'.
For B-side: 'Light On'.
Beside these, all the songs have something different on it. So, I recommended checking all songs from the albums.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

Usually, I like to watch MoonBin and Rocky's dance cover. There is a playlist called "ASTRO ddocca" on ASTRO YouTube. Usually, their videos are always fun to watch. For fancam, SanHa is one of members for the cover of 'Idol' of BTS.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

Recommendations for the group? Umm.. Reaction video of 'All Night'. It was quite funny. You can watch it on ASTRO YouTube Channel.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

My favorite lyrics is, "I've painted everything about you, an irreplaceable feeling... Sweet. Drench my heart when you see me" from '1 in a Million'.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

Once JinJin oppa said, please support us no matter what. Thank you for your messages. It really meant to us. I can't remember clearly but yup, this is one of the memories that always remains with me.

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

They again make me believe that if you try, one day you'll succeed. Failing is OK... It'll lesson for you.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

Being fangirl/fanboy is not easy task. My favorite part is that we are always cheered up by our idols whether we have a hard time or good times.

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

Well, fans fight with each other but I'm not that kind of fan. It's okay to support our idols but why should we have to say bad to others? Every idols have their own style. So, please support your idols; don't say any bad other idols.
