Kpopmap Fan Interview: An AROHA From Pakistan Talks About Her Favorite Group ASTRO & Her Bias MJ

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Noor is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from Pakistan. She is a fan of ASTRO and more particularly of MJ! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hiiii Kpopmappers! I'm Noor, a crazy AROHA from Pakistan.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

It happened back in 2019. I was just randomly scrolling through my YouTube and saw a thumbnail of a video. It was Cha EunWoo and was I mesmerized by his visuals? Yes! I mean, who wouldn't be?!
So I searched more about him and found out about ASTRO. Hence, he became my first bias.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

The reason why I first got attracted to them was because they were so funny and chaotic! Their videos made me laugh even if I watched them a hundred times. Also, I was super surprised by their synchronization because it was crazy perfect. So the reasons why I love ASTRO are: they're super funny, super talented, super beautiful and super wholesome to watch.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

As I said before, EunWoo was the first one to catch my attention because he was the most handsome idol I had ever seen. As I looked more into him, I realized he had a cute personality and was more talented then I imagined him to be.

Who is your bias, and why?

EunWoo sure was the first one to be my bias in ASTRO, but my current bias is MJ as he instantly caught my attention with his powerful yet heavenly vocals and his bubbly cute personality.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

The title track that I would like to recommend to new fans would be 'Blue flame' as it was my first comeback with them and also because it's a total bop and deserves much more recognition.

And a B-side that I would like to recommend is 'More' from their 3rd full album, "Drive to the Starry Road," which was written and composed by JinJin. It needs to be widely recognized because of its killer lyrics and music.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

MJ's "King of Masked Singer" performance of Buzz's 'Thorn' is totally a must watch, plus his cover of "Hotel Del Luna's" OST 'So Long' is my favorite too!

I honestly really love watching all of his fancams but his fancam from "SBS Super Concert" in Incheon that happened back in 2019 totally hit different. He looked gorgeous that day in his black outfit and had me mesmerized by how alluring he performed. I would totally recommend that.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

ASTRO's cover of SHINee's 'Replay' back in 2016 is a must watch and I would strongly recommend it.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

These are some of the lyrics from their song 'Gemini' from their "All Yours" album. It was written and composed by MJ and I was really impressed by the deep meaning behind these lyrics.

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

MJ's influence on my daily life is that he brings up my mood whenever it's down. I find myself thinking about him almost all the time and he had been the only celebrity to have made me cry when he left for his enlistment.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

My favorite side of fangirling is that it relieves my stress and makes me feel happy as it makes my mood better if its ever not good. It takes me in a fantasy of my own, out of this mad world and worries.

My message to MJ: Hiii Myungjunieee. I hope you are doing well with your military service. I miss you a lot and I miss your hair even more. Looking at the guys without you feels so empty but it also fills me up with love when they mention you in any way. Stay well and strong. Come back soooonn. I'll be waiting for youuu.
