Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

My name is Louise and I am from Australia. I use Instagram seoinguk_australia.

 

Who is your favorite Korean actor/actress? And how and when did you become a fan?

My favourite Korean actor/singer is Seo InGuk. I have been watching K-Dramas since 2010, and this is the first time I have really supported and actor and joined a fandom. I have watched him in “Hello Monster/I Remember You” in 2019, and since then I instantly became a fan because of his acting skills. I have searched for all his dramas, movies, variety shows, etc. With this, I found out that he is a singer as well! Hearing this amazing actor sing made me join the fandom, Heartriders. The articles about him being a filial son catapulted me to the fandom. He grew up from a poor family, and strived to succeed. I am inspired by his life story.

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite actor?

His acting skills impressed me, but ultimately, his singing skills and personality made me want to support him and promote him in my own little way. He does diverse roles and he can be a chaebol, profiler, poor guy, sad and dodgy guy even a scammer and still pull it off.

 

Can you recommend dramas or movies starring your favorite actor for new fans?

“Cafe Minamdang” is showing in KBS2 and Netflix at the moment but he has a lot of good dramas.
“Doom At Your Service”
“The Smile Has Left Your Eyes”
“Shopping King Louis”
“Squad 38”
“Hello Monster/I Remember You”
“King’s Face”
“High School King of Savvy”
“Reply 1997” – the success of this drama started the Reply franchise.
He has a couple of good movies too! “Pipeline” and “No Breathing”.

 

What was your favorite answer given by your favorite actor in an interview?

I like how he likes to explore new roles and venture on new challenges because that shows how hardworking he is. He is happy to work hard and learn. I also like that he does not choose between music and acting. He might have started as a singer by winning “Superstar K” and beating 720,000 contestants, but he loves acting too and considers his passion for both.

 

What is your favorite actor’s influence on your daily life or yourself?

He shows everyone that success comes with a lot of work. He was rejected a lot times before he became successful and this inspires me a lot. He is also really humble and a lot of his friends say how kind he is. He treats staff well and is very accommodating with fans.

 

How do you support them the most?

I support through streaming, buying merchandise, watching all of their content, etc. and contributing to shooting food truck and catering support, wreath for press conferences and doing projects to help promote him like fundraising for an orphanage donation on behalf of his name.

 

What is your favourite way of communicating with your favourite actor?

We have a cafe in Naver where we can share our message to him.

 

Have you ever made a new friend because of K-Dramas?

I made a lot of friends across the world by joining the fandom.

 

I had an amazing experience with Seo InGuk just a few days ago. I was able to do a selfie and ask for his signature again when I visited his sister’s cafe in Ulsan.
