Kpopmap Fan Interview: An Indonesian Goldenness Talks About Her Favorite Group Golden Child & Her Bias BoMin

There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’ stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other.

So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

 

Bomi is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from Indonesia. She is a fan of Golden Child and more particularly of BoMin! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

 

Can you introduce yourself? Where do you come from?

Hello everyone, I’m Bomi from Indonesia, I’m a Golden Child fan (Goldenness) especially Choi BoMin, nice to meet you all^^

 

How and when did you enter the fandom?

Starting from when I liked INFINITE. INFINITE was the sunbaenim of Golden Child at Woollim Entertainment (their agency). When the INFINITE’s siblings were revealed, I was very excited to become a fan of them (Golden Child), and until now, I like Golden Child.

 

What is the reason you like your favorite group?

Because the concept of music is easy listening. I really enjoy listening to Golden Child songs. The vocal color of each member is unique. The 10 members’ personalities are different but have their own charm and are quite unique. They also have songs that are easy to remember.

 

Who caught your eye in the first place and why?

Choi BoMin the group’s maknae. His visuals are captivating, his gummy smile on stage can melt our hearts and minds when we see him, as if we were hypnotized by him.

 

Who is your bias, and why?

So definitely Choi BoMin, no need to ask again why I like him, because love is blind ✌️haha. Just kidding. It is because he is hardworking, tireless, wants the best results, when he shoots dramas, he is willing to diet to have the look needed for his character (for example for the drama “Shadow Beauty”), he also has a myriad of talents, he can dance, rap, sing with unique vocals, be a model, be a MC and act well.

 

Can you recommend the title track and B-side song for new fans?

I recommend 5 songs, you must watch it on YouTube: ‘Burn It’, ‘Go Together’, ‘Singing in the rain’, ‘WANNABE’ and ‘OMG’. All these five songs have different colors, different meanings, but they are still easy to remember. Don’t forget to watch it!!!

What is the influence of your favorite group/bias in your daily life?

Gives happiness, enthusiasm in learning Korean to make it easier to talk/watch content about my idol.

 

What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc?

Because most boy groups generally use a dark concept, I prefer the bright concept. Because the bright concept is a refresher for me in the midst of boy groups with a dark concept.

 

What is the most memorable souvenir with your favorite group so far?

They always give priceless gifts that make their fans proud of their hard work. They always remember their fans, such as their Twitter account username @Hi_Goldenness like greeting “Hello Goldenness!💕”.

 

Can you recommend words that your bias like to hear to new fans who don’t know yet about it?

He always says “I will work hard in the future”. It can be seen from what BoMin has achieved so far.

INCREDIBLE.

Someone precious, friends, even family to me.

What is your favorite 2022 moment that involves your bias?

BoMin participated in the 14th anniversary of Yongga center (Yongin city family center).

 

What’s a random fact that you think people don’t know?

BoMin wants to be called oppa. BoMin changes his hairstyle fast (today he has long hair, tomorrow he is bald🙏 who knows).

 

 

Name a variety show/content show with your bias that you loved? Tell us why.

The video tells about BoMin’s journey from his actor debut to 2021. The reason why it really touches the hearts of fans is that BoMin’s schedule is very tight, both solo and group schedules, but he remains enthusiastic and never gives up on it.

 

If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together?

Listening to their daily stories about their day, chatting casually, playing games, eating good food, spending time together.

 

Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias?

I cried because BoMin became the main actor in the web drama in “Shadow Beauty”. The audience liked BoMin’s acting and said it was very good. Also, I laugh when I see BoMin’s very funny videos.

 

Name 1 quality in your bias that you wish you had.

BoMin’s hard work spirit and his confidence.

 

Is there some food you saw your bias group eat that made you crave it too?

Korean Fried chicken, the food that BoMin shared on the Podols application on August 16, 2021. He shares the food he eats in a day.

 

If your bias were to collab with another idol, who do you think would be best?

BoMin has done two collabs with his friends, namely SanHa (ASTRO), HyunJin (Stray Kids), and DaeHwi (AB6IX). Their group is called BBangBBang’s (빵빵즈).
The songs they covered included GOT7’s ‘Just Right’ and Red Velvet’s ‘Pyscho’.
I hope the four of them can collaborate again with a song with a different atmosphere.

 

What is the biggest mystery about your favorite idol?

I want to see his father’s face.
Why does BoMin rarely update, even though you are handsome.

 

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

Inspired to always work hard and tirelessly, they (idols) are also an inspiration for my life.
