ZEROSE, this day has finally come! July 10th marks the long-awaited debut of the group ZEROBASEONE formed at the end of the survival show "Boys Planet" (Mnet). The show reached 50 million cumulative online viewers globally and throughout the 10 weeks of the show received accumulated 15 billion votes from over 184 countries and regions. The nine members, Sung HanBin, Kim JiWoong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim TaeRae, Ricky, Kim GyuVin, Park GunWook, and Han YuJin have been preparing to meet fans with their music since the end of the show on April 20th.
It is with their first mini-album "YOUTH IN THE SHADE" and title 'In Bloom' that they are making their debut in the K-Pop world. With such talented and sweet members, they have won the hearts of more and more ZEROSE and they had already broken records even before their official debut. Genie Music revealed that their stock pre-orders are the highest for any K-Pop group debut with over 780,000 in just 5 days. The total pre-orders were also the highest for a debut album in K-Pop history with over 1.08 million in 13 days. On Monday, Hanteo Chart calculated that ZEROBASEONE has sold a total of 1,240,700 albums, also the highest for a debut album and also placing the group in one of the highest-selling K-Pop groups.
Even prior to the album, they have been busy with big events such as "KCON Japan" and are already booked for "KCON LA" in August. Their debut reality show "Camp ZEROBASEONE" aired from June 22nd. Don't miss it as you can see the group's funny and touching moments.

With 'YOUTH' and 'SHADE' pictures, the members showed opposite charms. Captivating and youthful pictures for 'YOUTH' which show a darker and enigmatic side of the group, and fairy-like and dazzling pictures for 'SHADE' which show members' elegance and innocent side. 'YOUTH' is said to show the members shining brighter amid profound darkness while in 'SHADE' they are captured in a laid-back state under the intense sun.

After a smiley and cute photo time, the show started with a B-side track: 'New Kidz on the Block', a song encapsulating the group's aspiration to rise to the top. The stage was filled with energy making us want to jump with them.

The stage of the title track 'In Bloom' followed. The song portrays the brilliance of youth alongside its underlying instability. The stage was where you could feel their hard work with intricate dance moves and good facial expressions with each member's touch. We could feel their sincerity in wanting to do their best. They did not disappoint!
Just like this line "Blooming without swaying not a single flower's like that", the entire song is connected with flowers, just like the point choreography where members are making a rose they are giving. They explained a bit more about the moves: starting with planting a seed on the floor and shaking it, they make a bloomed flower with their hands, and share the flowers with the public.

To delve further into the album, there are 6 tracks, 'Back to ZEROBASE', 'In Bloom', 'New Kidz on the Block', 'and I', 'Our Season', and 'Always'. Zhang Hao has a solo track as he received the most votes during the finale of 'Boys Planet,' placing first.

When asked how they felt about their debut, they mentioned that they were excited, happy, and honored. They had prepared really hard for that day and would do their best. The members said they would cherish this day.
When asked how they felt about performing for the first time at the showcase, Kim JiWoong mentioned that he felt happy and very excited. Since they were debuting there that day, he felt an even greater sense of responsibility. So, they would try to show their best with responsibility in their future endeavors.

When asked how they spent the time since the end of "Boys Planet," Kim TaeRae explained that they talked a lot, and he was happy that he became one team with ZEROBASEONE members. They also prepared for the debut stage as hard as they receive a lot of support. He hopes that everyone is looking forward to it. Han YuJin mentioned their first reality show "CAMP ZEROBASEONE" and their first meeting with ZEROSE at "KCON Japan" in May. Through these experiences, he felt the desire to debut quickly to show ZEROBASEONE's performances and songs to ZEROSE.

When asked about their goals, Kim GyuVin mentioned the lyrics "We're going straight to the top" from 'New Kidz on the Block,' and he mentioned while recording they had this desire. Their goal is to be number one in a music show. They would repay ZEROSE with a good encore stage. Ricky mentioned he would like to have the honor to receive a precious rookie award. He mentioned that he particularly wants this award because they only have one chance to have it. For him, it would be an honor for ZEROBASEONE and ZEROSE to receive this award.

When asked about the terms they would like people to use or how they would like the group to be described, Seok Matthew mentioned that they have shown growth and that ZEROSE seems to love it. So he wants to show the group's continuous growth and become a team that always surpasses all expectations. Zhang Hao mentioned that ZEROBASEONE would work hard to develop its own unique style. They would like to set new records and write new parts in K-Pop history.

When asked if they felt the popularity overseas, Zhang Hao answered that they could only debut thanks to the love of Star Creators. Now, thanks to ZEROSE's love, they have been able to reach all these even before their debut. They are determined to show their best and repay all the love they are receiving.

Next, they were asked about the title of being part of the 5th generation. Sung HanBin mentioned that they are surprised every time they hear that they are opening the 5th gen. He mentioned that he is very thankful to sunbaes who paved the way before them. They will show the growth of ZEROBASEONE through the help of their colors and charms.

When asked about their records, Sung HanBin explained that all the members were very surprised and excited about all these records on Instagram, sales, or others. It was unbelievable for them. They are very thankful and will continue to give their best. Kim GyuVin answered the question about the records they would like to achieve. When asked about the topic of youth in their debut album, Park GunWook explained that they wanted to talk about youth in this album. While many people perceive youth as a time filled with beautiful moments, they wanted to show a different side of youth, as reflected in their album title. They have gone through a long training period, so during that time, they thought a lot about the future and experienced moments of wandering. After they overcame that time, they thought that it was growing pains that made them become adults and great artists. It was their "shade".

When asked about the difference from their time as trainees, Kim TaeRae mentioned that the biggest difference is that he can experience a lot of stages. Their first encounter with fans at "KCON Japan" was memorable for him.
Sung HanBin answered a question about the teamwork of their team composed of both Koreans and non-Koreans. He mentioned that since they are a multi-national team, communication is important and they are doing it slowly. As the leader, when there is an activity, first he makes sure that all the members understood and changes the language to a simpler version. Since all members are good at waiting, he is able to explain to them. Their teamwork is good because their hearts are matching well.

A journalist pointed out that their debut day and EXO's comeback day were similar and asked for their feelings on this. Kim GyuVin mentioned that he felt honored to share this same day with sunbaenims he likes since he was a trainee. He will be happy to be on music shows at the same time as them. Kim GyuVin would like to leave a good impression on them as a rookie group. The MC then asked him what would he want to ask EXO if he met them. He answered that he would like to ask them for their autograph.

Sung HanBin closed the showcase by saying that their biggest goal is to spread positive energy and happiness to the public when listening to their music, more than results even if this is important. Adding on that they want to be healthy and promote for a long time.
