“The Tasty Florida” (2021 Web Drama): Cast & Summary

“The Tasty Florida” is a BL web drama depicting a story that takes place in the background of a rooftop Chinese restaurant, a social networking service (SNS) hot spot.

The lead cast is full of talented newcomers YuHwan, Cha WooMin, Moon KangHyuk, and the YouTube beauty creator duo Seoulite’s ZeZe and Joon. 

Rookie actor YuHwan, who recently signed with Just Entertainment will make his debut in this drama. When asked about the drama he said “Starting my first work as a lead role, I was excited but also felt a lot of pressure.”

This is also newcomer Cha WooMin’s debut drama. He originally thought he would pursue a career as an athlete as he excelled in swimming and Judo from a young age. When he had time to think about his dream, he decided to quit sports his Sophomore year of High School and give acting a proper try.

Moon KangHyuk got his career started as a model and even won the ‘W Korea Model Search’ in 2017. He made his debut as an actor in the 2020 web drama “In The Night”.

Finally, the YouTube beauty duo Seoulite’s ZeZe and Joon made their acting debut through this drama after gaining success for their special effects makeup skills. 

Moving Pictures Company and Emotion Studio captured the hearts of overseas fans as well as Korean fans through their previously released BL dramas  “Wish You: Your Melody in My Heart” and “Nobleman Ryu’s Wedding”. “The Tasty Florida” is attracting a lot of anticipation from fans around the world.

Summary

Cast

YuHwan as EunKyu

He is forced to hire a new part-timer, HaeWon, who keeps getting on his nerves. He will have to face his feelings for HaeWon and choose between love and friendship.

 

Cha WooMin as HaeWon

A 20-year-old newcomer to Seoul. He got a job as a part-timer at The Florida Spot. His heart flutters at the sight of EunKyu. 

 

Moon KangHyuk as JiSoo 

EunKyu’s 15-year confidant and the powerhouse of The Florida Spot. He seems to be kind to everyone but, there is one person who has his heart.

 

Seoulite’s ZeZe as Jin

Even though he is cute in appearance, he’d rather be seen as cool. With his bright and playful attitude, he is the mood maker of The Florida Spot. He can sometimes lack common sense but, that’s what makes him the cute, actually the cool pillar of The Florida Spot.

Seoulite’s Joon as SeoHyuk

A part-timer at The Florida spot who excites women with his wit and appearance. He can’t cook but, is more confident in tasting and washing dishes than anyone else. He has a back and forth relationship with Jin but once you get to know him he has a friendly personality.
