5 K-Pop Idols Who've Responded To Hate Comments

It’s unfortunately no surprise that idols receive malicious comments on a daily basis. We all know of the unwarranted hate that our favorite idols receive from nobodies on the internet, but have you ever seen them respond to it? Not many idols do, and it takes bit of courage, so why not recognize the few that have done so before?

Here are 5 K-Pop idols who've responded to hate comments online!

        1. TXT's SooBin

As a K-Pop fan, you’re more than likely aware of the unhealthy diets which some idols force themselves through in order to lose weight. These idols are expected to have the typical dream body, which is slim, or maybe muscular. On a V Live with YeonJun, SooBin, and BeomGyu, a viewer commented that YeonJun looked chubbier than usual. YeonJun replied to the comment immediately after reading it by saying that he wasn’t chubby, and BeomGyu added that YeonJun’s weight was the same as his own. Receiving much praise from MOAs for it, SooBin's response was easily everyone's favorite. He told the viewer that before commenting something like that, they should take a look at themself first, which caused BeomGyu to burst out laughing.

        2. AB6IX's DaeHwi

It'd be quite surprising for anyone to hear that there's a person out there who hates DaeHwi's singing. On a V Live, the talented singer read a comment out loud saying "I hate you, please stop singing." He responded by telling the hater that he won't, because there are a lot of people who like his singing!

        3. YuNa

Any sensible fan would find it ridiculous for someone to join an artist's Weverse just to spew hate at them, but that's exactly what a user did to EunHa. They posted a photo of her eating and called her fat. YuNa was quick to respond to the rude comment directed toward her fellow member, replying with "KIN." When turned sideways to where the letter N is at the bottom, it looks like the Korean slang word "즐," which is basically a way to tell someone to buzz off!

        4. Stray Kids' Bang Chan

Bang Chan has responded to rude comments in his popular V Live series, Chan's Room, on multiple occasions, and STAYs can never get enough of it! After reading a comment out loud that said "stray kids disband," he happily twisted their words into something a lot nicer, responding to the comment by saying "Yeah! This band called Stray Kids is a pretty cool band!"

On a separate occasion, a viewer called Stray Kids' music, "construction music," claiming that their music sounds like construction noise. As Stray Kids is a self-produced group that "constructs" its own music, BangChan actually agreed with the hateful viewer!

        5. Holland

As one of the first openly gay artists in Korea, Holland is no stranger to homophobia and unfortunately receives such comments regularly. Last year in October, he posted a selfie with a caption jokingly thanking his haters for taking time out of their day to send him homophobic remarks via Instagram direct messages.

It's always nice to see haters met with the consequences of their own actions, so we'd love to see more of this! Were any of your favorite idols on the list? If so, tell us who they are in the comments below!
