‘How To’ – A Beginner Guide To Enjoy “Produce 48” For International Viewers
Are you new to Produce 101? You did not watch the previous seasons? Or you don’t know much about the new season or how to enjoy it? Then this is for you!
The survival show “Produce 48” or “Produce 101” Season 3 starts this week on June 15th at 11pm KST on Mnet. Each week, trainees will be submitted to voting and only 12 will survive and debut in a temporary group like I.O.I and Wanna One. There are some differences between those, this season the winners will promote for 2 years and 6 months and will be paid better wages than previous seasons.
It was announced that 48 idol trainees from South Korea and 48 trainees from Japan (96 trainees) are part of the program. It was also reported that 4 Japanese Trainees were reported to have left the show. The girls already had their first stage for their song ‘Pick Me‘. They showed much passion and talent.
You can access to the full list of Korean and Non-Japanese Trainees with their main information (name, agency, birthdate, blood, height, and weight) as well as their training period, hobbies and specialty, here. Same information is available for the Japanese Trainees, here. This season offers its surprise, some trainees have interesting specialties and hobbies such as imitate an ostrich, eating ice and do ukulele. In Korea, these 5 trainees are already popular even before the show started.
The girls have nice mentors and MC too, they will be with them during all the season. Lee SeungGi as MC. FTISLAND‘s Lee HongKi and SoYou as vocal trainers. Cheetah as rap trainer. Bae YoonJung, Choi YoungJun and May J Lee as dance trainers.
Mnet already started to tease fans with the first teasers. Tears, thoughts and abilities of trainees can be seen and heard but that is not all.
The most important now is ‘how to watch?’, “Global Tving” app offers plenty of Produce 48 videos in English. You can watch the show on real-time streaming as well as chat with fans all over the world (and more). This was created especially for international fans.
Winners are decided by votes. However to be able to vote, you can vote as long as you are located in South Korea, regardless of nationality. This is sad for international fans but you can support your favorite trainees in other ways.
From next week and every week, you can find on Kpopmap the ranking of the trainees of the week. You can also currently see more pictures of the girls on our website such as here.
Also, you can follow this new season on Mnet official SNS too, such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and website. You can also access to some videos with English subtitles on their official YouTube such as individual presentations of each trainee.
Now, it is time for you to choose your favorite trainees and to enjoy the new season at its best! Share with us in the comments which trainees you like and have high hopes for!
