"Gaus Electronics" is the latest on-going drama and a must to watch. The light-hearted drama is all you need after an emotional roller-coaster ride we received from the recent K-Dramas. It is also the perfect get away from all the stressors of life, but at the same time, it highlights the struggles of office workers.

The drama lead cast include: Kwak DongYeon, Ko SungHee, Bae HyeonSeong, Kang MinAh, Baek HyunJin, Heo JungDo, Jeon SeokChan, Baek SooJang, Jo JungChi and Rainbow's Ko WooRi.

"Gaus Electronics" tells the story of the employees in Marketing Team 3 of a multinational conglomerate, Gaus Electronics. The team is one of the most underappreciated teams and is on the brink of being dissolved. The members are now set to change that.

We meet Kwak DongYeon as Lee SangSik, perhaps the most optimistic character in the K-Drama world. He always has his head up high and ready to face another day despite all his struggles. But that characteristic also makes him 'ignorant'. He is too naïve to understand situations properly and act accordingly. Nonetheless, SangSik has secretly swept our hearts with his innocence and watching his adorable being might cleanse your day.

Here is how just watching Kwak DongYeon might solve- or at least make you forget-the 99 problems on your bed stand.

        The article contains spoilers.

        1. Lee SangSik Aka The Most Honest Man

Lee SangSik is crazy, eccentric but with a sincere heart. He may not look into things thoroughly and deeply because that is who he is. He is simple and honest.

In episode 1, he posts a video he made about the history of Gaus Electronics which causes a stir. He wanted to post it privately but ended up making it public, and it blew up. When the audit team came to investigate, the team discussed how they would cover up the case, but SangSik was persistent on telling the truth and apologizing sincerely.

The team then locked him up in the room but he managed to escape. The representative of the Audit Team had concluded that SangSik was being bullied and only to prove that further, he came out all tied and bruised up. Upon asking about his state, he truthfully replies that it was the team members who did so. What makes it even more hilarious is that he had no ill-intention behind it. He did not want to snitch on them but had spontaneously replied.

        2. Always There To Help Others

Lee SangSik is always there to help others, no matter how they have treated them. Moreover, he never expected a return from it.

When Baek MaTan (Bae HyeonSeong) joined Marketing Team 3 and SangSik happily became his guide. MaTan, who was from a rich family, was clueless about everything, but SangSik taught him everything. He even showed him how to make instant coffee and to make copies of the documents- though he ended up doing the majority of the work himself rather than just teaching.

Later in the drama, Chu NaRae (Ko SungHee) moves in to the apartment next to him. The two were not on good terms as NaRae often scolded him. She is hot tempered and threatens to kill him most of the time. She clearly stated that they must act like strangers outside the workplace and would not listen to anything he had to say. Yet she calls him over because of a spider. He was there to help and comfort. He even brings patches for her when she was in pain.

        3. Lee SangSik Has Stayed Loyal To His First Love

This might be one of his downsides, but one must also admire his sincerity. SangSik followed his first love, HaeYoung, and applied for Gaus Electronics. She would call him only when she wanted something to be fixed, but he blindly ran up to her. He was so immersed in his feelings that he failed to see that she was just using him and would never reciprocate his feelings.

It is until episode 3, when he sits heart broken and rejected. He pours his feelings out before the teddy mask, confessing that he felt abandoned because HaeYoung (Lee SoHee) found a new doll to play with. It breaks the viewers' hearts to see him in such pain and, truly, HaeYoung does not deserve him. Who would not love such a pure-hearted and unconditional lover? But in the end, it is her loss.

Kwak DongYeon yet again astonishes with how well he adpated into the character. We cannot imagine anyone else as SangSik. Just like so, he has also made us fall for SangSik even with all his faults. Whilst seeing him, one wishes to squish him and tell him what a good boy he is.
