One of the most popular English slangs used by the MZ generation is "slay". You must have heard it on TikTok, Instagram, all over any form of social media and recently, even in TV shows and films! It has become so popular that it is better known by its new "slang" meaning rather than its real meaning. In this article, we will teach you how to say "slay" in Korean.

One of the most fun and entertaining parts of learning a new language is getting to know all the slangs that come with it. At the same time, it is natural to want to say slangs you already know in the new language.

"Slay" originally used to mean "to kill" but now, it is a compliment, a way to say that someone or something has done something extraordinarily well.

So, if you are in Korea or speaking to Korean people and want to say "slay", here's how you can express it.

The Korean version of "slay" is "찢었다".

"찢었다" (chijyeotda) means "to tear" and it is used in a similar way as "slay" is used in English. It is informal.

You can use "찢었다" in a sentence as follows:

        리사 무대를 찢었다.

        Lisa mudae-reul chijyeotda.

        Lisa slayed the performance.
