Don't Let The Haters Get You Down

A constant message that many women in K-Pop love to talk about is how you shouldn't let the hate get you down! These women have taught us to always love ourselves and not let what haters say get to us. Many women in the idol industry are subject to a massive amount of hate from this workforce and from many hateful fans. K-Pop women persevere through this hate and love to encourage their fans to do the same as well. MAMAMOO'S HwaSa is a perfect example as many of her songs detail how she has dealt with haters in her music career and how they don't even matter. Her most recent comeback with the single 'I Love My Body' talks about how no matter what people say about her, she loves herself and doesn't really care what you think! Another example comes from the group miss A with their powerful and fiery song 'Bad Girl Good Girl'. Rather than a cute or innocent debut, the girls debuted with a title track that told people to watch their back if they decide to hate because they really don't know the true them.

Never Give Up On Your Dreams

We could never forget Red Velvet's iconic intro line from 'Happiness' and neither should you because it is important for the next lesson! K-Pop women never gave up on their dreams because if they did, we wouldn't even be able to write this article. Many of them encourage others to follow their dreams and never give up, no matter what obstacles lay ahead. TWICE is another perfect example of chasing their dreams. Their b-side song 'Girls Like Us' talks about their dreams and the starting point of their career as TWICE. They encourage others to keep going no matter the tears shed and the hardships that await because happiness is around the corner.

        Be Your Own Authentic Self

Many K-Pop women pride themselves on always being true to themselves and showing off their authentic personalities. Groups and soloists have put these themes into their songs to empower women and tell them that it's okay to be who they are. Take STAYC for example! Their song 'Stereotype' talks about being their own unique self, being confident in who they are, and embracing themselves and the vulnerabilities that they have. The song title 'Stereotype' even signifies how you shouldn't follow the labels or prejudices others place on you. Another great example is AKMU Lee SuHyun's song 'ALIEN'. The song tells the story of a mother who encourages her daughter by saying she is an alien from a faraway galaxy, aiming to help her be her best and authentic self. BIBI's song 'Bibi's Vengeance' showed different aspects of this lesson in her music video. At first, she is innocent and pure but as it progresses she shows off her true self, a fearless, independent woman. K-Pop women love to tell many stories about embracing who you truly are.

You Are The Most Important Thing

If you've been in the K-Pop scene for years now, you probably remember 2NE1's iconic song 'I Am The Best'. This perfectly sums up the next lesson we've learned from K-Pop women. Even in this song, the members sing about how they are confident and emphasize self-importance and assurance. K-Pop women always remind us that we are the most important thing in this world so it's important that you remember this! BLACKPINK's Jennie talks about how she is the most important thing after experiencing a breakup in her debut single 'SOLO'. The message behind these songs are very impactful and get listeners thinking about how they are the most important people in their life. K-Pop women prioritize themselves because their feelings and self-love are what matter the most.
