The action genre in K-Drama is a fan favorite for its fast-paced scenes, straightforward dialogues, mindblowing effects, and gun-blazing action scenes that leaves the hearts of viewers racing in excitement. With more K-Pop idols staring more in the Comedy or Romance genre of K-Dramas and movies, the action genre seems like an untapped land and we would love to see some of our favorite K-Pop idols showcase their acting skills in this genre.
Here are some of the 4th generation idols we believe will do well in an action K-Drama or Movie.
1. Stray Kids' HyunJin

HyunJin's brilliance on stage could be applied to his acting skills as he is known for his iconic facial expressions and a stage presence that is an art form. His tiger-like agility, stamina, captivating facial expressions, and core strength that he applies while delivering Stray Kids' signature hard-core choreography could prove he also has the skills to act in an action movie or series.

In this movie or series, HyunJin plays the nerdy and strong-willed character whose girlfriend has been kidnapped thanks to her father's affluence. Her father is the CEO of a game company and is known for his incredible smarts and no-nonsense attitude to mistakes. A trait that has seen him easily let go of some of his staff. These disgruntled staff team up and decide to teach him a lesson through his most popular game, by kidnapping his daughter and having him play various levels and stages as time ticks before she dies. HyunJin's character has always wanted to be a game developer. He is smart, talented, and also a brilliant hacker. Teaming up with his girlfriend's father, he tries to solve the game as they try to save his girlfriend's life.
2. THE BOYZ's SunWoo
THE BOYZ's SunWoo is known for his ferocity on the mic, iconic visuals, bold and deep eyes that lock you in at a glance, and his outstanding dance skills that make every stage performance an entertaining musical experience. In this action movie or series, THE BOYZ's SunWoo plays the son of a CEO by day and vigilante by night who is on a quest to hunt down his wife's killer. SunWoo is a high school teen who despite his smarts and family wealth is a loner and many try to avoid him due to the troubling circumstances around his mother's death/disappearance.

For this, he despises his father who he believes is just a money-grubbing robot who shows no emotion but clear interest in getting richer. However, his father has been secretly hunting down the man / group he believes is behind his wife's death / disappearance. Along the way, he helps prevent and solves crimes, becoming the most notorious vigilante who is famous for his fighting skills and ruthlessness. SunWoo's character stumbles upon his father's secret and alters ego, and this realization helps them become closer.
3. ITZY's YeJi

ITZY's Yeji is known for her undeniable stage performances and musical talents that have made her an exemplary idol today. From her glaring charisma, captivating facial expressions, unwavering stamina, flexibility and fierce dance moves that makes fans wonder if she has a spine, she seems to have the quick and agile form that would be essential in an action movie or series.

ITZY's YeJi character is the daughter of a crime-fighting prosecutor who is known for his uncanny ability to always put criminals behind bars, regardless of their status. A fact that has made him famous and often targeted by others. Recognizing the dangers of his job from an early age, he trains his daughter on how to fight, and over the years, she becomes a skilled fighter. His fears come to the past as while handling a huge case involving a pharmaceutical company, he was killed. Suspecting his death, he saves his evidence in a place where only his daughter knows and can be able to access it. Seeking to avenge her father, she teams up with one of his trusted allies, who takes over his case, and a classmate who is also a victim of the treacherous pharmaceutical company. To bring them to justice, all they have to do is to get the evidence to the court.
4. (G)I-DLE's Minnie

(G)I-DLE's Minnie has shown her acting talents in the sitcom "So Not Worth It". Known for her fierce performances, sharp wits, commanding presence both off and on the stage, it might be feasible to say she would do very well in an action series or movie.

(G)I-DLE Minnie's character in this series/movie is a talented hacker who is part of a hacking group that regularly targets rich companies and demands a ransom. A hacking adventure goes wrong as they stumble across a file that holds details of every corrupt individual, from politicians, celebrities, judges, prosecutors, and the police. Thinking they have made it, one of them brags about their conquest and that leads to the company hunting them down and killing them one after the other, as they seek to recover what was theirs. Soon enough, the hackers discover these threats and seek to come up with the next plan, while trying to stay alive.
5. TREASURE's Haruto

Haruto has shown his acting skills in TREASURE's web drama "The Mysterious Class" and along with fans, we would like to see him take up more acting roles. In this action drama or movie, he will play the best friend of a female character whose father, a police officer is being framed for murder and is on the quest to clear his name. This revelation makes her the target of hate in school. Haruto's character is a smart teenager who is known for his good looks, high IQ, and being from a wealthy family. Attributes that often make him the center of attention as everyone wants to be closer to him. He however tends to keep to himself. He is quiet and doesn't talk as much but he is especially warm with his best friend.
YG Entertainment
The key charm about his character is his strong-willed and pure nature which is shown in how he expressively tries to help and defend his best friend whom he secretly has feelings for. We see him provide comfort and security for her during difficult times, while in her own way, she works to help her father clear his name.
