ChungHa was a contestant on the survival show "Produce 101" where she became a viral sensation for her dance to Beyoncé's 'Yonce'. She was a popular member of the series, always receiving positive feedback and scores. In the finale of the show, she placed fourth and was able to debut and promote under the girl group I.O.I until 2017. During her time in I.O.I, ChungHa radiated even more. She participated in many projects, and shows and was in the sub-unit for the group's song 'Whatta Man'. Many fans remember her I.O.I days and it helped her gain exposure for her upcoming years as a soloist once the group finished their activities. Many people got to see a more cute, refreshing side to the soloist as many of I.O.I's concepts were cute and bubbly!
