There's something about the start of the week that can bring your mood down almost instantly. With the weekend behind us, we are faced with another bout of the Monday blues. It can be so severe that no amount of sleep or caffeine is enough to fully cure it. But through K-Variety Round Up, we hope to provide the perfect serotonin boost needed to combat the start of the week!

Through this series, we focus on small happenings from various Korean variety shows that you might have missed over the past week/weekend. These clips might appear across social media feeds, but it can be difficult to watch everything, on top of tending to our busy schedules.

That’s why Kpopmap is here to bring you the most entertaining clips to a screen near you! Now, take a look down below for a little energy boost on the first day of the week.

        1. Jet Skiing With The Cast Of "Jinny's Kitchen"

Even if you're stuck in the office or commuting to work, you can still carve out time to think about your next vacation getaway. If you're unsure where to go, you can always look towards the cast of "Jinny's Kitchen" to give you ideas.

This week, we see the castmates take turns riding on jet skis and diving into the refreshing ocean blue. Although we're currently unable to do so ourselves, it's cathartic and relaxing to watch them. There's a special energy that we receive just by vicariously living through the cast of "Jinny's Kitchen" and it almost feels like we're there ourselves.

        2. Cha JooYoung Introduces Her Dolls

Cha JooYoung did an amazing job in her portrayal of Choi HyeJung in hit series "The Glory". With its massive success and such an iconic character, it can be difficult to separate the two from each other. But that's what makes moments like these so special.

It's a refreshing contrast to see Cha JooYoung have such an adorable side to her. Named Mimi and Mochi, the actress introduces her dolls on MBC's "The Manager". She considers them as precious friends and brings them with her everywhere. Cha JooYoung is absolutely precious and surprisingly cute — you cannot help but smile at this adorable fact.

        3. 'Like A Cat' Dance Masterclass

If the Monday blues are getting to you, an impromptu dance session might do the trick. And even if you're not dancing yourself, watching others could provide the perfect energy boost to get through the day.

On tvN's "Amazing Saturday", it's not unusual for cast members and guests to have a celebratory dance performance after giving the correct answer. On this episode, we see everyone get up and perform AOA's 'Like A Cat'. They create a flash mob type of scenario and as always, add in a bit of humor in between. With clips like these, they make any day of the week feel amazing and fresh.

        4. EXO's D.O Plays A Prank

SBS' "No Math School Trip" is a variety show that presents scenic views, amusing moments, and hilarious chemistry between castmates. EXO's D.O shows once again that he is just effortlessly funny and such a joy to watch.

His prank isn't anything big, as he simply switches the signs for the two rooms. But what makes it such a serotonin boost is his reaction while doing it, along with his innocent chuckles in between. His positive energy is infectious and will have you smiling from ear to ear in no time. D.O is a true happy virus needed for the start of any work week.

        5. Shin YeEun Dance Covers

Shin YeEun is an amazing actress who has nailed every role that she's been given. But if you think that's all there is to the K-Drama star, you're in for a pleasant surprise!

She shows off her memorable dance moves on SBS' "Running Man", covering NewJeans' 'OMG' and BSS' (SEVENTEEN) 'Fightin'. She nailed both songs without any trouble, adding a nice touch of humor to her performance. The "Running Man" cast members could not help but break out into laughter watching her efforts. Shin YeEun is a natural variety star and could probably add part-time comedian to her repertoire.
