So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Gyumi is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from the Philippines and is a fan of BLANK2Y, and particularly of Louis. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello, I'm Gyumi from the Philippines.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

It's because of Louis and YoungBin that's why I happen to know the BLANK2Y members and enter the K2YWE fandom. Also, I happen to know the director before so I wanted to give him support too.

What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group?

Each of them has a unique talent. They always performed amazingly on stage and their voices blended so well. Also, I know their struggles before their debut and I am so proud of them until now.

What do you think differentiates this rookie group from the others?

Their kind of music~ it's new to me. And I really like it!

For the readers who are completely new to the group and members, can you introduce them with your own words?

Hello guys, especially to those who haven't gotten to know BLANK2Y, trust me they are all amazing and talented. BLANK2Y didn't have an official leader yet so every month we have a different leader. Like this month our leader is Mikey. BLANK2Y members are like my little brothers to me, that's why I cherish them so much.
You can also get to know them well if you watch their "BLANK2Y'S" episodes.

Who caught your attention at first and why? Did you know any members prior to their debut?

Probably Louis and YoungBin because I anticipated that they are there. So I had my eyes locked on them hehe. Also, I already knew them before they became BLANK2Y. I knew Louis since his trainee days from A Team, to became a part of "Under19" and being a member of 1the9. I knew YoungBin from "I-LAND". Ah, and also DongHyuk, I knew him from ENOi.

Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why.

Louis is my ultimate bias because I made a promise with him (when he was still a trainee) that I will give my best to support him no matter what happens.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

For the title track, I recommend 'Thumbs Up'.

For B-side track it's 'I Wish'.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or other from your favorite group or bias?

Louis and YoungBin once covered NCT DREAM's '지금처럼만'.

Also they covered THE BOYZ's 'MAVERICK'.

If you can spend a day with your bias, where will you go and what will you do?

Amusement Park. We will try all the rides there and have fun!

What's your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias?

Louis teased me during my fancall with him. Though I ended up being embarrassed towards him, it is still the best moment of my life ever because I made him laugh a lot.

Yes, I got a lot of friends from different countries because of it and I am so thankful that K-Pop exists. To all my K-Pop friends (that knows me), thank you for being part of my life. You guys are the best!

What are the things you are looking for in their future activities?

More new songs to release and a season 2 for "BLANK2Y'S" 🤧🙏🏻.
