Kpopmap Fan Interview: An Indian AROHA Talks About Her Favorite Group ASTRO, Starting Her Journey Since 'Crazy Sexy Cool'

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello 😊🤚. I am Shayani Nandy from India, West Bengal. A heartcore fan of the cutest bubbly group ASTRO.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I became an AROHA from 2017. At that time I was 20 years old, and going through a very tough time of my life.
One night I was watching videos on YouTube to refresh my mind. Suddenly YouTube recommended me a video.

Yeah...it was a stage performance of 'Crazy Sexy Cool' of ASTRO. That's how I found six precious boys ASTRO.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

There are countless reasons why I love ASTRO. But I will mention two main reasons.
First of all, they brought smile on my face when I was going through the hardest phase of my life. They continue to make me, and to every AROHA feel happy. Each and every member of the group has their own way to make us feel special, make up feel like we are family, like we are one. (We are definitely a Family).
Secondly, they have a refreshing aura which can purify the darkness in the heart. Their bubbly yet mature self makes them unique and beautiful.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Cha EunWoo caught my attention first.
When I saw the thumbnail of 'Crazy Sexy Cool' on YouTube, My reaction was " Oh wow!! 😲 Who is this gentleman?"
So I clicked the video, and after watching the entire video I got amazed and surprised by the other members. They were all so awesome that as a result I am AROHA now. ❤️

Who is your bias, and why?

It's really difficult to pick a bias in ASTRO. As I mentioned before, each and every member in ASTRO is unique.
Leader JINJIN's softness, Happiest smile of MJ, Purest Soul of CHA EUNWOO, Comforting Nature of MOONBIN, Clumsy, extraordinary person like ROCKY and the backbone, Cutie pie YOON SANHA.
How is it possible to choose a bias in ASTRO?
But still, if I have to, then it is ROCKY (Park MinHyuk). His extraordinary dance skills, his funny self and his love for the members make me fall in love with him everyday.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

Each and Every title track of ASTRO is unique. My personal favourite one is
'KNOCK'.

And the B-side tracks are true gems. I recommend 'STARDUST', 'GEMINI' for new fans.

Can you recommend a fancam, V-Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

I recommend: ASTRO 'AFTER MIDNIGHT' Fancam,

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

Each and every song of ASTRO is so meaningful, especially their B-side track.

 

One of my favourite lyrics from the Song 'BY YOUR SIDE' is -
"Even if time passes and you change
시간이 지나고 네가 변한대도,

Even if you are shaken by a lot of pain

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

On the 2nd "ASTROAD to Seoul [STARLIGHT]", JinJin, our softest leader said few things.
He said , "With my AROHA, I'm just thankful all the time. We always say that AROHA can rely on ASTRO when things are hard. We'll rely on AROHA when things are hard too. Please be there for ASTRO. Please support each and every one of us no matter what we are doing. I'll be forever be thankful. "

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

ASTRO give me a constant energy to fight every difficulties in life. I know that if they are always by my side so I am not scared of any difficulties.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

The Fandom. I am grateful that I am a part of a beautiful fandom "AROHA".
I have a lot of AROHA friends from every corner of this world. So I never feel lonely. Also Fangirling teaches a person how much a person is capable of loving someone. Our love for our idols keeps increasing day by day which amazes me a lot. And that's the best part.

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

I think some people have a belief that ASTRO is well known only because of Cha EunWoo, which is not completely right. Cha EunWoo is indeed an excellent talented gentleman with countless abilities. His beauty is heavenly and I am so so so proud that he is a part of ASTRO. But, the other members of ASTRO are equally talented and breathe taking gorgeous. People should care less about beauty and talk about talents more. People should pay attention to all of them. As per my opinion, each and every member give their 200% to their songs, dance. But they don't get proper recognition. Not because I am a fan, but I am speaking as a audience, they deserve much more than they have.
