So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

I'm Larizza Ferreras, and I'm from Philippines.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I think I still can't figure out how did I became an ELF, but I do know that I'm head over heels on them since I discovered that their videos are my happy pill. But if I can remember it right, the first video I have watched is their appearance on "Radio Star" in year 2015, and I immediately knew that they are super chaotic.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

The main reason why I love them so much is because they are my "Ray of Sunshine." I don't call it a day if I'm not able to watch at least a single video of these "dorks," and, simply because they are so wholesome.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

The very first member that caught my attention is Kim HeeChul, when I watched their guesting on Radio Star before, (I think they are only 7 that time) and I thought that he was a Japanese man the first time I watched him. But I can't believe it when I stumbled upon this old videos of him that he was actually a pure korean, and he was born and raised in Gangwon-do, South Korea.

Who is your bias, and why?

Until now, HeeChul is still my bias since the day that I discovered SUPER JUNIOR, and I can't believe that I was be able to see almost all of them in "Super Show 9" here in my country. I just wish that one day, I will also be able to see my ultimate bias. Additionally, we have the same birthdayyy (July 10).

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

The title track and B-side that I'll definitely recommend to all of the baby ELF out there is 'This is Love' ("The 7th Album Special Edition - THIS IS LOVE") and 'Evanesce'. I know that this is one of their songs which they are able to showcase their powerful vocals.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

To our very own Baby ELF Petals, I will recommend y'all to watch HeeChul Devil Fancam on Mnet ("MCOUNTDOWN"), I always find that fancam a little funny because in their choreo, KyuHyun will grab HeeChul's hat in the middle of second chorus, and DongHae will grab it from KyuHyun to give it back to HeeChul, but KyuHyun suddenly moved and they failed ( ╥ ﹏ ╥ ), but in HeeChul's bridge part they strategically give back the hat to HeeChul, and I think their cleverness makes me laugh my lungs out.

Can you also do the same type of recommendation for the group?

They should also watch SUPER JUNIOR performing 'Black Suit' in MAMA Awards 2017 in Hong Kong because me, myself, can't handle their hotness, specially when HeeChul entered at the middle of their performance with his see- through button up shirt and he's so sexyyyyyy! I am also very delighted to see the most sexiest dance break by HyukJae (EunHyuk), good thing I have gained back my composure, because if not, I will be crazy!

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

My favorite lyrics is 'My Wish', specially the chorus part:

What is your favorite group/bias' influence on your daily life?

But seriously, the biggest impact SUPER JUNIOR gives me is the importance of friendship, sure they often fight before, but that helps them understand their differences and their boundaries.
They also make me believe that dreams do come true, as long as your intentions are clear, your willingness to fullfill that dreams lures God to make it more easier for you to reach it. Just believe that God gives everything you want in the most perfect time.

What is your favorite side of fangirling/fanboying?

Since I'm a PH ELF, my favorite part of fangirling is their comeback and the free merch I have received before the concert.

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

Lastly, their bashers should never, ever lay a hand on them or say mean words to them, because I promised if they ever do that to my dearest boys, there will be a World War III incoming.
Don't ever call them "old hags" because second gen idols didn't dominate the music industry, I think K-Pop will never be a thing to all of us.

How are you doing? Have you been doing therapy on your leg? I hope you're in a good condition if you ever read this. Being your fan of 7 years is not a joke, and I can't believe that I managed to go this far since I get to know one of the most wholesome people in the entire world. I still thank all the celestial bodies and planets for giving you to me. Thank you, even if you never knew that you make me happy even in my darkest times. You, and SUPER JUNIOR, are my happy pill. Thank you, for showing me that complimenting my smallest accomplishments is not a bad thing. Thank you, for showing me the importance of loving myself so that other people will love me too. And the most important thing is, thank you, for being you. My 7 years of being your fan are not wasted. I love you, always remember to take care of yourself, because I'm not stupid and observant enough to know that you need some rest.
