The Country That Has Never Been On The Tour List Of This Agency's Idol Groups, Fans Are Desperate

Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia that is often included in K-Pop idol's tour lists, along with Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Singapore. K-Pop in Indonesia has been popular for more than a decade, lots of K-Pop groups/artists have held concerts or fan meetings in Indonesia. However, none of artists from Starship Entertainment have ever held one in that country.

Starship Entertainment currently houses several artists and groups, including K.Will, MONSTA X, WJSN (Cosmic Girls), Jung SeWoon, CRAVITY, and IVE, as well as the groups that are no longer active under the agency, such as SISTAR and Boyfriend.

Some of them actually had come to attend festival concerts in Indonesia, but solo concerts and fan meetings have mostly been cancelled or are not even on the tour list.

Here are some canceled Starship Entertainment artists' fan meetings and concerts that are supposed to be held in Indonesia.

1. SISTAR & Boyfriend Live in Jakarta

SISTAR and Boyfriend are the agency’s first girl group and boy group. In 2012, both of the group planned to hold a joint concert at MEIS Jakarta in mid-June 2012, but it was declared canceled. The reason for the cancellation was the two groups' busy schedules, making it difficult to hold a fan meeting together.

2. Boyfriend’s Asia Fan Meeting in Jakarta

In 2013, Boyfriend was announced to be holding a fan meeting on May 11, 2013 at the Integrity Convention Center, Jakarta, which was held by Entourage Entertainment. But unfortunately, the fan meeting was cancelled by the agency and promoter for unforeseen reasons and there were no plans to reschedule it until now.

3. MONSTA X's 1st Asia Fan Meeting in Indonesia

The fan meeting titled "MONSTA X 1st Asia Fanmeeting in Indonesia" which will be held in Hall 5, Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang has been postponed for safety reasons. This postponement was made because of the situation at that time, there were mass actions and many demonstrations in Jakarta. Therefore, SH Entertainment as the promoter decided to postpone it and will reschedule it.

4. MONSTA X "The First World Tour - Beautiful" in Indonesia

The concert entitled "The First World Tour - Beautiful" at Kasablanka Hall, Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta, on September 2, 2017 is a new schedule for the fan meeting which was previously postponed, but was also declared cancelled. It's very unfortunate for Indonesian MONSTA X fans (MONBEBE), because they patiently waited enthusiastically but both of the events had to be cancelled. And until now the fans are still angry at the promoters because many of their ticket money have not been refunded.

As for the festival concerts that attended by Starship Entertainment artists in Indonesia were only SISTAR at "Music Bank Jakarta" (2013) and "Shinzui White Concert" (2014), MONSTA X "V Heartbeat" in Jakarta (2019), and KiHyun at "K-Pop Land Concert" (2022).

Furthermore, it is known that Indonesia is also not included in the list of CRAVITY’s World Tour and IVE’s Fan Concert this year. Many Indonesian fans of Starship’s artists have asked themselves “Why Starship always skips Indonesia into their artist tour list?” Then, some of fans think maybe they were traumatized because many of their artist's events were cancelled. Also, there is even a joke that Starship Entertainment does not have a map that has Indonesia in it.
