10 Addictive K-Pop Songs That Might Be On Your Playlist (Part 1)

        YG Entertainment

K-Pop songs are often addictive not just because they are sung by some of our favorite idols or groups but oftentimes because of the catchy and rhythmic sound of the song, the jazzy and groovy beat, iconic and thrilling rap verses, angelic and melodious vocals, and the message and vibe of the song that fits into our moods and makes us relate to it.

In this article, we will be sharing some of our favorite K-Pop songs that we always give a listen to for some of the reasons mentioned above. Please note that this is not a ranking.

        1. MONSTA X - 'Jealousy'

While 'Rush Hour' might have reaffirmed their position as one of the best (probably top 5) K-Pop groups in the industry, 'Jealousy' served as not just a memorable song but an iconic and relevant statement that duly made it an instant classic. Its catchy chorus, incredible vocals, fiery rap verses, and the entire vibe of the song make it one of the most addictive songs by MONSTA X and possibly one that many fans still listen to today. It is cool, refreshing, and to this day, it still evokes the same level of awe and wonder as it did when you first heard it.

        2. EXO - 'Wolf'

'Wolf' is easily one of the best EXO songs and alongside their entire discography, it is one of the best K-Pop songs that will never get old. From the iconic fast rap verses to BaekHyun and Chen high note battles and D.O's unbelievably sleek honey-like textured vocals that added the perfect ingredient bringing the whole song together in one tasteful harmony, this song is one that we cannot get over and for years to come will still get goosebumps every time we give it a listen. 3. BTS - 'Idol'

No doubt that BTS has an entire catalog filled with iconic and addictive songs but there is something extra special about 'Idol' that is just unexplainable. Is it the beat, the quintessential pop sound that everyone loves, the vocals, the rap, or just the all-round message of the song? We might not be able to completely explain what makes this song so addictive but ten to twenty years from now, like us, many will still be giving this song a listen.

        4. ATEEZ - 'Answer'

The melodies and harmonies, the dramatic rise in tempo that feels like you're on an explorative journey of mystery and fantasy when you listen to the song, the thrilling rap verses, and the message of the song. 'Answer' is one of ATEEZ's most listened to songs and some might say it is a classic at this point. The soft and smooth tone of the song makes it so easy to listen, enjoy, learn, and ultimately sing along to.

        5. ITZY - 'Wannabe'

If not for any other reason, the positive and somewhat inspirational message attributed to this song is a key point as to why it is so addictive and just like us, many might find themselves listening to it time and time again. The groovy pop beat that is definitely going to get you on your feet and dancing with your hands in the air as you cast away your fears and doubts, the sonorous voices of the vocal lines, and the smooth delivery of the rap verses adds so much to the appeal of this song. Plus you get to try and do the RyuJin iconic shoulder dance too.

        6. IKON - 'Love Scenario'

IKON's 'Love Scenario' served as a cultural moment in K-Pop and is still one of the most talked-about songs by the group to this day. The song's very laid back groovy sound that immediately captures your senses and makes you take a moment to just listen and have a good time, the soft and melodic vocals that are perfectly complemented by the vibrance of the rap verses and the switch in tempo towards that end that serves as a rush and booster that enriches the listening experience of the song, all these components serves as a perfect blend of what it takes to make an iconic song.
