When a K-Pop fan thinks K-Pop, they’re definitely thinking about the following things: visuals, concept of the group, vocals, rap and dance. Dance is unarguably one of the most important aspects of K-Pop. Even if the dance is quite simple and easy to follow, most of the time, it’ll exist. If it’s not an official choreography, it’s a choreography made for dance challenges on TikTok and Instagram Reels.

With dance being such an integral part of the K-Pop industry, we have to take into account the different K-Pop groups and their dance potential. Whether we’re talking the group’s collective dance talent or the talents of individual members, there’s always a topic on seat. That being said, here are the best K-Pop idol dancing aces in various 3rd and 4th generation K-Pop groups.

        1. Red Velvet’s SeulGi

A list on top talented idol dancers cannot be complete without the best dancer in Red Velvet and one of the best among 3rd gen female idols. SeulGi’s dance talent comes from her versatility, her being able to adapt to any concept and dancing with all of her being. Then, there’s the fact that she also has admirable technique, a base that’s considered necessary if one is to be a truly good dancer. Combine great technique, adaptability and selective and appropriate charisma, and you have yourself a SeulGi on the stage.

        2. TXT’s YeonJun

Known right from his trainee days as the all-rounder trainee, we’ve come to realize that it wasn’t just hype and no substance. YeonJun has such a gift for dance that makes him the most beautiful to watch when he performs. The even more beautiful thing is the fact that he knows how to truly enjoy himself while serving body angles and spot-on choreography. More. We want more.

        3. TWICE’s Momo

We know a lot of us felt extremely happy when we got to display Momo do her main dancer prowess during EXO’s Kai’s ‘Rover’ challenge. Hirai Momo’s dance skills have been praised across the K-Pop industry, but even more arguably valuable is how professional dancers praise her skills too. That’s how solid of a technique she’s got, enough that she can fit into any genre and dance so fluidly. It’s always a thing of pride for fans to be able to watch Momo dance, and we only hope she has a lot more dance content to offer moving forward.

        4. NCT’s TaeYong

Unarguably one of SM’s best male dancers, and one of the most groovy, easy to vibe with dancers in K-Pop. TaeYong literally commands the stage and a whole audience when he dances, and it’s not just about his visuals or his aura. This idol dancer has an unmatched talent for dance, especially where it comes to physically demanding choreographies. TaeYong has amazing body and energy control, so much that whenever he moves, it’s all too intentional. No move is empty or wasted. We adore the man for that, certainly.

        5. ITZY’s YeJi

While ITZY is generally a core dance group, there are still members that are just too good at dance: think ChaeRyeong, RyuJin and of course, YeJi. YeJi, like YeonJun, was also a prized trainee with undoubtedly great talent and skill. It’s also no wonder that she’s her group’s leader. Where dance is concerned, YeJi immerses herself into the character she’s playing. If it’s supposed to be chic and cool, she’s into it. If it’s savage, she’s definitely got it. The girl dances with everything on the line, and that sort of deep passion and submersion into dance, plus her great technique, is a prize to the idol dance community.

        6. BTS’s JiMin

This worldwide group has quite the number of idol dancing aces, actually: there’s members j-hope and JungKook. We think JiMin specifically is such an ace because he has this ability to make you addicted whenever you watch him. The addiction isn’t now just because of stage presence, mind you— it’s more about his angles. Like his sunbae and close friend, SHINee’s TaeMin, JiMin has a body that feels the entire rhythm of a song and brings it to life. Such body control even as he portrays the message of a song is an unbeatable talent, hands down.

        7. NMIXX’s KyuJin

We think a lot of K-Pop streamers knew KyuJin had potential from NMIXX’s predebut content. The predebut dance where KyuJin, JiWoo, and former member Jini danced to Cardi B’s ‘Press’ was, dare we say, phenomenal. There’s no way anyone could watch that video and not think that KyuJin isn’t such a dance talent. This idol might be young and a rookie, but she’s definitely going places with the raw talent and charisma she possesses.

        8. SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi

Hoshi might be SEVENTEEN’s introverted hype man, but this hyperactive idol has got skills! With an idol dancer like Hoshi, it’s almost an experience watching him perform. His dance is energetic, yet his moves are precise. He knows how to capture an audience too, and we know charisma plus dance talent is a breathtaking combination. Hoshi being a dancer with both technique and personal style adds flavor to his dancing, and makes him mesmerizing to watch. As expected of SEVENTEEN’s performance leader.

        9. EVERGLOW’s Mia

Not many people might be aware of this talent of a female idol, and it can be sad sometimes. Mia gives her group that in-your-face energy, that ability that makes anyone watching her not be able to take their eyes away. With her advanced technique as a dancer and her overwhelming charisma and stage presence, we can’t not love Mia for being among the idol dancers that give you the full experience of watching a K-Pop group and idols perform.
