Despite summer knocking on our doorstep, not all of us are able to spend a leisurely day at the beach to relax and soak up the sun. With the start of a new week, many are required to head into the office where we combat a new work week and the dreaded Monday blues. The combination of these two can make it extremely difficult to start the week on the right foot. But through K-Variety Round Up, we hope to provide the perfect serotonin boost needed to combat the start of the week!

Through this series, we focus on small happenings from various Korean variety shows that you might have missed over the past week/weekend. These clips appear across social media feeds, but it can be difficult to watch absolutely everything, on top of tending to our busy schedules.

1. MIRAE Son DongPyo's Impressions

Son DongPyo has been making waves as a variety superstar. He has made various appearances across multiple variety programs on both broadcasting networks and YouTube. But the idol recently showed up as a participant on MBC's "King Of Masked Singer".

He unfortunately did not make it to the end, but he made quite the impression as a vocalist and in the interview afterwards. After his reveal performance, he gave a hilarious interview which involved an impression of actress Joo HyunYoung's 'Reporter Joo' persona. His impression filled the studio with much joy and should be a great source of laughter to kick off the week.

2. Different Versions Of aespa's 'Spicy'

aespa has been sweeping the charts with their newest comeback track, 'Spicy'. They've gone on various shows to promote, including JTBC's "Knowing Bros". In between the comedic antics, during one segment, the girls each took turns to sing a small part of 'Spicy'. Each member had their own unique charms, showing their distinct individual qualities. One thing that they all had in common, was the shivers they sent up and down your body. aespa's heartwarming vocals will definitely jolt you awake and prepare you for the work week ahead.

Prior to even receiving training from an entertainment company, idols must go through an audition process to see if they have any star potential. While audition videos are usually hidden away, there are some that make it out to the public for everyone to see.

On a recent episode of YouTube variety series "Workdol", Shuhua takes on the role of a casting manager at CUBE Entertainment. In between looking for the next rising star, the staff brings out the idol's very own audition video. Her reaction to her younger self was simply hilarious. She's seen squealing in embarrassment, making multiple attempts to hide the video from being shown on camera. However, it made its way onto the screen and you could just feel Shuhua's burning passion.

Sometimes it's not multiple cups of coffee or a clip of our favorite idol that provides the most effective serotonin boost. For many, they receive happiness from pictures of their beloved pet. This is certainly the case for I.M in his appearance on "YoungJi's Alcohol Diary". After receiving permission to share a picture of his family's newly adopted puppy, the idol's face naturally lights up. You can just see from his expression how much he cares for his furry family member.

5. Stray Kids Spending Time With Baby RoWoon

Stray Kids members Felix, HyunJin, and I.N recently made an appearance on the YouTube spinoff for "The Return Of Superman". The three are seen happily spending time with baby RoWoon. Whether they're carrying RoWoon or giving him food, you cannot help but widely smile from ear to ear. Seeing their interactions with RoWoon will provide the perfect serotonin boost to combat the otherwise tiring Monday!
