K-Variety Round Up: Korean Variety Show Highlights That Serve As The Perfect Serotonin Boost (From The 4th Week Of May)

        MBC / tvN / KBS

The weekend went by in a flash and now we’ve returned to yet another work week. On this day, we often become caught up in the Monday blues. Whether it occurs once in your life or many, the Monday blues can prevent anyone from starting the week on the right foot. But through K-Variety Round Up, we hope to provide the perfect serotonin boost needed to combat the start of the week!

Through this series, we focus on small happenings from various Korean variety shows that you might have missed over the past week/weekend. These clips might appear across social media feeds, but it can be difficult to watch absolutely everything, on top of tending to our busy schedules.

That’s why Kpopmap is here to bring you the most uplifting and entertaining clips to a screen near you! Now, take a look down below for a little energy boost on the first day of the week.

        1. Playing In The Foam Pit With MONSTA X

K-Pop idols might look cool and charismatic on stage, but they turn into complete fluff while in front of babies. This is certainly the case for MONSTA X members JooHoney and KiHyun as they make an appearance on "The Return of Superman". We see the two idols become perfect play partners and uncles towards baby Jen. The way they play with her in the foam pit is endearing and provides energy that would last for days.

        2. Food Fighter Chun WooHee

Regardless of mood or occasion, one bite of food has the power to reenergize anyone. And while we might not be able to have some, watching someone else eat can be just as revitalizing as having it ourselves. During this week's episode of MBC's "I Live Alone", we see good friends Chun WooHee and Lee JooSeung meet up to hang out.

While having an earnest conversation, WooHee unknowingly continues to put food into her mouth, piece by piece. Seeing her like this is such a mood, shared by anyone who has happily enjoyed their delicious meal. Watching her eat is like a provides indescribable joy and laughter to kick off the busy week.

        3. BTOB MinHyuk's 'Hype Boy' Performance

NewJeans' 'Hype Boy' has been a viral craze ever since its release. Every celebrity has covered this dance in some way, shape, or form. Watching BTOB's MinHyuk run straight out once the song begins is heartwarming to watch. The pure happiness on his face is infectious, perfect for anyone looking to start off the work week with a huge smile.

        4. SE7EN And Lee DaHae's Concert Like Wedding

Weddings are a joyous occasion for many reasons and for various people. Not only is it a happy event for the bride and the groom, but also for the attendees who have arrived to celebrate the two. After eight years of dating, top celebrities SE7EN and Lee DaHae finally decided to tie the knot and their wedding was nothing short of spectacular.

They made an appearance on SBS' "You Are My Destiny" and before their segment, a glimpse of their luxurious wedding was shown. From the people attending to SE7EN's entrance at the beginning of the ceremony, it had the feel of a heart-racing concert. You could just feel the energy penetrate through the screen and lodge itself deep into your bones.

        5. Chaotic Zombie Game

After a successful first season, "Earth Arcade" is back with a second season. Once again, the core cast of Lee YoungJi, IVE's An YuJin, OH MY GIRL's Mimi, and Lee EunJi provide a limitless amount of laughter to viewers across the globe.

Here, we see the ladies try their hand at the zombie game. In such an enclosed space, you would think there would be little to no difficulty. But leave it to the producers to add a little twist to the game for pure entertainment value. Although it's a 3 versus 1, it takes an incredible amount of effort and strength to capture that one person. They are hilarious in their attempts, providing slapstick comedy and sidesplitting reactions that will just have you roaring in laughter.

We hope with this edition of K-Variety Round Up, your Monday is filled with happiness and strength. Fighting!
