Top 8 Most Memorable And Fun Episodes Of PIXID’s “AMONG US”

        Spotify K-Pop's Official Twitter

Most of us know that with comebacks and promotions come the variety show and reality show appearances. K-Pop idols show us a different side of them through these screens, or they help us understand them more as people.

PIXID is one of the programs or YouTube channels that idols have made appearances in. The concepts are fresh each time and you get to see your favourite Korean singers interact with their fans or just ordinary South Korean citizens via chat. In light of such a refreshing concept, here are our top 8 most memorable and fun episodes of PIXID’s special series, “AMONG US”. It's about time you watched more Korean variety programs, no?

        1. The Imposter In A Groupchat for Rookie Idols ft TWICE’s NaYeon, NMIXX's HaeWon, Billlie’s Moon SuA, woo!ah!’s Nana and Kep1er’s Huening Bahiyyih

When this episode aired, NaYeon had just made her solo debut with ‘POP!’ This came right in time with the concept for this episode because the buzz surrounding new girl groups was rather high. Here, we get to see NaYeon pretend to be a rookie idol in the midst of actual rookie idols, and we’re sure ONCE (TWICE fans) can imagine how well she might have blended in in their chat.

        2. The Non-Fan of SHINee’s Key In A Groupchat for Key Fans ft Key

Any SHINee fan— or even non-fan— must know how hilarious and witty Key is. He is responsible for a lot of memes that even people don’t know is from K-Pop. You can tell that he brought his wit to this episode as well, as he was meant to pretend to be a fan where his true fans really were. The discovery at the end would bring happy tears to your eyes.

        3. The MZ In A Groupchat for Boomers ft SEVENTEEN’s SeungKwan

The term for boomer in Korean is '꼰대’ and if you’re a CARAT (SEVENTEEN fans), you’d have heard the members call SeungKwan this term more than a handful of times. It does ring true for fans, with his gestures and nagging and humour. You wouldn’t want to miss this fun episode where he was placed with actual boomers. Well, it wasn’t easy differentiating who was who, and that was the beautiful and fun part.

        4. The Real Rapper In A Groupchat for High School Rappers ft Jay Park

One thing we were grateful for in this episode was the raw talent we saw here. High school rappers in the K-Hiphop community deserve more attention, and for them to be able to interact and meet a seasoned rapper like Jay Park was the most memorable it could get. We’re sure the high schoolers in this episode amped up their production and rap games after filming this.

        5. The Imposter In A Groupchat for Monbebes ft MONSTA X

Most MONSTA X members were present for this episode, making it even more special. They were to pretend to be MONBEBEs (their fandom), but we’re sure that would be a breeze. Considering how interactive they are with fans, it won’t be a surprise if they knew all the ins and outs— and inside jokes— of the fandom.

        6. The Girl With An Older Sister In A Groupchat for Girls With Older Brothers ft aespa’s Karina

At first, people that see Karina’s visuals might think to themselves: “She’s so pretty and resembles an AI character. She’s probably very quiet and mysterious.” That is far from the case. In this episode, fans and non-fans alike got to see Karina for the caring, loveable and bright person she actually is. To top that, she has a doting older sister, a fact that might’ve humourously been her strength— or downfall— in this episode.

        7. The Stray Kid In A Groupchat for Real Kids ft Stray Kids’ Lee Know

STAYs (Stray Kids fandom) are well aware of Lee Know’s shenanigans, and might often liken him to a kid. Now, in the midst of real kids, the game is on. Not only did we get to see Lee Know in a different, more childlike light, we got to watch kids just be themselves. That in and of itself is priceless.

        8. The Youngest In A Groupchat for Firstborns ft SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi

Horanghae! CARATs would understand that Hoshi’s love for and imitation of tigers run deep. We could say it’s due to him being the maknae in his household, which is why this episode might have been challenging for him. Put beside first-born daughters who have a lot of responsibility, Hoshi’s playful nature had to find a way to adapt. The outcome is well worth watching in our books.
