fromis_9 are currently gearing up for their greatly anticipated comeback slated for June 5, 2023 at 6PM KST. Since it has been a while since the girl group has come out with new music and the fact that it will be their first full album, flover are completely over the moon with excitement. Fans everywhere are ready to hit the replay button and listen to fromis_9 all day long.
One of the appeals of the girl group are their lovely vocalists. One member whom we love listening to is none other than Song HaYoung. She's a talented all-rounder, skilled in both vocals and dance. Whenever HaYoung steps onto the stage, you are unable to look away and become completely absorbed into her performance.
Now, as we continue to wait for June 5th, here are but some performances that will make you fall for enchanting vocalist, Song HaYoung.
1. Cover Of 'Still Love Me?'
In between group releases HaYoung went on to help acoustic K-Indie group, Sweden Laundry with their 10th anniversary project. Together, they released a digital single which contained HaYoung's cover of 'Still Love Me?'. With her dreamlike vocals, the cover is reminiscent of the fading season of spring. As the song continues, you feel as if you're floating on a cloud towards a fairytale destination. 'Still Love Me?' is soothing and sweet, making it a perfect pick-me-up or nighttime lullaby.
2. Rendition Of Iconic 'Plastic Love'
'Plastic Love' is an iconic city pop song, originally performed by Japanese singer, Taeuchi Mariya. HaYoung's rendition transports listeners back in time. If you close your eyes, you're able to see the neon lights of the late 70s and 80s. The idol sing does exceptionally well in maintaining the original feel of the song, while adding her own specific vibe to make it original and unique. It's light, playful, and will have you pressing the replay button a million times over.
3. Featured Singer On "Lee MuJin Service"
Together with fellow member Park JiWon, HaYoung featured on KBS Kpop's YouTube series, "Lee MuJin Service". There, she once again proved her skills as a gifted vocalist. Her performances were absolutely chilling, sending shivers up and down your spine. She showed off both her amazing vocals and her impressive guitar skills. You could not go even a second without having your jaw hit the floor out of sheer amazement.
4. Appearance On "King Of Masked Singer"
Despite having a mask, HaYoung's voice possesses such a distinct color that flover were able to figure out who it was right away. On the program, she sang a moving cover of IU's 'Dear Name'. She imbued every note with a feeling of intense longing, pulling on the heartstrings of everyone in attendance. Her cover offers waves of comfort that remain well after the video ends.
