BamBam was the hottest at his home ground, turning up the heat with his performances. Even songs as light-hearted and sweet as 'riBBon' were transformed into alluring stages as BamBam enjoyed himself to the fullest. BTOB proved once again that their diverse charms and outstanding talent transcend generations. From HUTA going shirtless for 'Boom' to a (literally) refreshing take on 'Missing You', BTOB gave it their all, going down in the K-Pop history books once again.

 

5. SunMi at WATERBOMB SEOUL 2023

This list would not be valid without the WATERBOMB queen herself, SunMi. Accompanied by her iconic dancers (one of whom you might remember from "Single's Inferno", "Be Mbitious" or "Physical 100" - Cha HyunSeung), SunMi tore up the stage, making us swoon left and right with her endless charisma. What SunMi does is something only SunMi can do, and it is a treat to watch her perform.

 

6. Kwon EunBi at WATERBOMB SEOUL 2023

Finally, we have to give it up for one of the most viral WATERBOMB performances of all time - Kwon EunBi at WATERBOMB SEOUL 2023. As part of its global celebrations for International Women’s Day, Spotify is putting the spotlight on Korean women artists taking the world by storm.

According to Spotify data, music by Korean women artists has been steadily gaining popularity, recording phenomenal growth in streams amongst listeners worldwide. In 2023, there were over 24 billion global Spotify streams for Korean women artists, an increase of 602% since 2018, and testament to their growing influence as they continue to touch lives with their music.

BLACKPINK emerged as 2023’s top-streamed Korean women artist globally followed by NewJeans, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM, and FIFTY FIFTY. The most streamed track by a Korean female artist worldwide was 'Cupid - Twin Ver.' by FIFTY FIFTY, followed by NewJeans' 'OMG,' 'Ditto,' and 'Super Shy,' and JiSoo's 'FLOWER.'

“It's been thrilling to witness the growth of Korean women artists on Spotify. With the sheer talent they present, there's no denying their influence on shaping the industry and the power of music in driving the movement for gender equity. As part of the global 2022 EQUAL campaign, Spotify launched a 'Spotify Singles’ project with SunMi, and in January 2023, NewJeans was the ambassador of the month for the platform’s EQUAL Global Music Program, which gave their music exposure on the EQUAL Global Playlist.
