As part of this celebration, an animated series spotlighting iconic Hip-Hop locations worldwide has been unveiled, and South Korea's vibrant hip-hop scene takes center stage in this captivating series.
The series, which highlights Hip-Hop's impact in more than nine different global markets, features visually stunning artwork created by the talented Korean artist and illustrator, YeWon Hwang.
Guided by rapper BILL STAX, one of the episodes delves into the evolution of South Korea's unique K-Hip-Hop culture, shedding light on the rich history of Seoul's vibrant Hongdae neighborhood. You can catch this animated episode on Spotify Korea's official social channels, including Instagram and Twitter.

This hub serves as a comprehensive collection, housing over 40 global playlists that encapsulate the diverse eras, regions, and trends that have significantly shaped the Hip-Hop genre over the past half-century. Notably, the Korean Hip-Hop playlist "KrOWN" was included in the hub, and tracks by Korean Hip-Hop artists, including 'AEAO' by Dynamic Duo and DJ Premier and 'Monet' by Beenzino, are featured in Spotify's "Global Hip-Hop" playlist.
