Like every year in the K-Pop world, fans are blessed with awesome releases throughout the year. 2023 was not an exception.
Kpopmap asked readers to vote for their favorite albums by female K-Pop artists in 2023 and the votes are in!
The vote was open from Dec. 5 to Dec. 18. Many of you voted, thank you for your votes!
Here are the best female K-Pop group albums of 2023.
5. aespa - "Drama" / "MY WORLD" - 2.6%
aespa released two albums, "Drama" and "MY WORLD", in May 2023 and November 2023 respectively. They showcased their many talents, exceeded expectations, and received a lot of love. Both albums received 2.6% of the votes, ranking fifth.
4. DREAMCATCHER – “[VillainS]” / “[Apocalypse : From us]” - 3.7%
DREAMCATCHER had a busy year and released “[VillainS]” and “[Apocalypse : From us]” in May 2023 and November 2023 respectively. The girl group continued to sway the world with their unique style, receiving 3.7% of the votes from Kpopmap readers with both albums ranking fourth.
3. Red Velvet – “Chill Kill” - 13.7%
Red Velvet made their long-awaited return to the music scene with their third studio album, "Chill Kill", in November 2023. Being the iconic girl group that they are, they were highly praised for their musicality and distinct identity as artists. They received 13.7% of the votes and with "Chill Kill" ranked third.
2. Lapillus – “GIRL’s ROUND Part. 2” - 20%
Lapillus released “GIRL’s ROUND Part. 2” in June 2023 with the title track 'Who's Next'. Many were blown away by their explosive sound, earning them 20% of the votes. With the various charms the album provided, it ranked second.
1. TRI.BE – “W.A.Y.” 43.7%
TRI.BE released their album "W.A.Y" in February 2023. Although it was released in the beginning of the year, it was an album that remained in the hearts of K-Pop fans until this day. It earned 43.7% of votes and ranked first, making it the most loved female K-Pop group album of the year by Kpopmap readers.
