          MBC

A mixture of unbelievable heartache, nail-biting suspense, and hotly sought after justice, "Wonderful World" is shaping up to be one of the hottest K-Dramas currently on air. Currently streaming on Disney+, the thriller/melodrama stars the likes of Kim NamJoo, Kim KangWoo, ASTRO's Cha EunWoo, and Lim SeMi.

It follows the story of Eun SooHyun (Kim NamJoo), a heartbroken mother who loses her son. When the law fails to hand out justice to her son's untimely passing, she takes matters into her own hands. She meets even more people who have suffered in a similar manner and together, they embark on a journey of much-needed healing while she helps them with their own struggles.

Among the people she meets is Kwon SeonYul, played by Cha EunWoo. Long gone are the days of EunWoo as just an innocent school boy. Now he's taking on a variety of different roles that showcase his acting growth.

His character in "Wonderful World" allows him to do just that, showcasing the duality of a person.

          Beacon Of Hope

For one of his first appearances in "Wonderful World", he comes out as a shining beacon of hope to Eun SooHyun. They coincidentally run into each other while visiting their deceased loved ones. As it starts to rain, SeonYul offers an umbrella to SooHyun, and while at first, she declines his gesture, he remains persistent. He reminds our female lead that her son wouldn't want to see his mother sick, unknowingly becoming a bright shining light, reminding Eun SooHyun that there's a way out of the darkness.

          Standing Up For Justice

SeonYul is nowhere near well-off, as he needs to work various jobs to keep afloat. Despite his unfortunate circumstances, he still makes it a point to stand up in the name of justice. Whether it's going undercover to unearth corruption or openly protecting Eun SooHyun from physical harm, SeonYul does not turn away from doing the right thing.

          Vulnerability Masked In Strength

Early on we learn just how great SeonYul actually is. He exhibits a resilient strength that rivals the many men in K-Drama history. However, we also learn just how much trauma he carries upon his shoulders. Underneath this strength is a heartbreaking sadness of a child who lost their parents. Seeing this, audiences can't help but to cheer on SeonYul in his endeavors and that he might find more reasons to be happy in the end.

Cha EunWoo showcases a masterclass of portraying SeonYul, showcasing his utter growth as an actor. The duality he portrays has audiences firmly seated at the edge of their seats, waiting excitedly for the next episode.
