Not everyone can make a career change, going from one job to another. However, it's not unusual for celebrities in the K-Drama world to start off as models before kicking off their acting career. Once they switch over, they begin to focus less on their runway strut and more on memorizing lines and conveying the right emotion.
One K-Drama star who has made the successful leap from model to actress is the talented Lee SungKyoung. Starting from her acting debut in "It's Okay, That's Love", she continues to turn heads with her gorgeous visuals and exemplary acting. Regardless of the genre, she excels in every role she's given and has steadily made a name as a talented leading actress. Her characters are memorable, sweet, and downright hilarious. Lee SungKyoung is simply iconic.
So we decided to put together this list of her funniest scenes that live in our head rent free!

1. Shopping Is Life
One of Lee SungKyoung's most memorable roles is the haughty and pretentious Baek InHa of tvN's "Cheese in the Trap". Baek InHa was involved in all sorts of trouble throughout the series, while also providing viewers with heaps of laughter.
One of the funniest scenes is when Baek InHa finds out that her credit cards have been suspended during a shopping spree. She calls her adoptive father to sort things out and with the conversation that follows, you cannot help but laugh. The amount of range from her facial expressions alone deserve praise, but add in her tone of voice and then you have comedic gold.
2. Sweet, Yet Hilarious Cameo
Lee SungKyoung, along with her "Doctors" co-star Yun KyunSang, stole the show with this short, yet hilarious cameo in "While You Were Sleeping". They appeared as two lovebirds out on a heart-fluttering date. Their public displays of affection were cute and over the top, making everyone recoil from secondhand embarrassment. It's understandable that Lee JongSuk and Suzy wore looks of bewilderment, because honestly, we would probably react the same way.
3. Catching Your Boyfriend On A Blind Date
If you have a girlfriend who weightlifts, you probably should not go on group blind dates. However, Jung JooHyung, played by Nam JooHyuk, learns that the hard way.
At this stage of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim BokJoo", BokJoo and JooHyung have already confessed their feelings to each and are happily in a relationship. But they decide to keep it a secret from their friends and fellow athletes. So JooHyung is unable to say that he has a girlfriend, even when he's dragged into a double blind date.
When BokJoo catches him red-handed, her response is absolutely hilarious. From her unchanging facial expression to JoonHyung's sudden realization, this scene goes from 0-100 real quick. We won't blame you if you hit replay on this scene a million times, because we sure did!
4. "You actually live here?"
Baek InHa spent a large portion of her life growing up in wealth and luxury. That's why her reaction to Baek InHo's (played by Seo KangJoon) living conditions is somewhat understandable. Regardless of that fact, this scene is still unbelievably hilarious.
No, the way she tastes and sniffs the air isn't sped up — the scene is at normal speed! Now, Baek InHa may not have said the line "You actually live here" but her actions definitely express the sentiment. She does so little, but this scene is a gold mine of comedy.
5. Credit Card = Happiness
Who can walk down the street like a runway model and then break out into a wild, celebratory dance? If you answered Lee SungKyoung as Baek InHa, then you're absolutely right!
In this scene, we see that Baek InHa is totally on the side that believes money can buy happiness. With a credit card in her possession, she feels unstoppable and the need to celebrate. You can't help but be amused by the whole situation. Especially how onlookers in the background gleefully watch as the scene unfolds.
6. When Your Guy Best Friend Tries To Do Something Nice
It's natural to do nice things for people, especially if they're someone close to you. But it takes a special talent to have good intentions and totally miss the mark.
Jung JoonHyung makes an attempt to protect Kim BokJoo from an oncoming car. However, he uses her as a human shield instead and BokJoo gets soaked from head to toe. The slow motion effect adds another layer of comedy, making the scene iconic and over the top funny. Nice try JoonHyung, you get an A for effort.
7. Confess And Run
K-Drama confessions can end in two ways: with two characters ending up together or very badly. In this case, it's the latter. But we wouldn't have it any other way.
In tvN drama "Sh**ting Stars", Lee SungKyoung and Kim YoungDae play longtime friends, Oh HanByeol and Gong TaeSeong. These two secretly harbor romantic feelings toward one another. One day, TaeSeong decides to make his long-awaited confession, but things don't go exactly as planned. HanByeol ends up running for the hills, leaving TaeSeong shocked and speechless. Viewers, on the other hand, are bent over in laughter. Lee SungKyoung and priceless reactions, name a better duo.
Soon, Lee SungKyoung will return with the premiere of her newest drama, "Call It Love", on February 22, 2023. Hopefully more will be added to this hilarious collection featuring the beloved actress.
