        The school-themed genre is one of the favorite forms of K-Dramas by many viewers as it often captures the essence of youth and the beauty of falling in love for the first time while also spotlighting the realities that many teens face today as they try to balance these new found feelings as well as dealing with the pressures of the society and conflicts both internal and external that may arise in their journey towards happiness. Over the last couple of years, we have seen more school-themed BL dramas being released, tackling various gripping topics that once again shed a spotlight on some of the realities faced by the LGBTQ+ community and also present the cute and lovely form of love that we have all come to enjoy with the K-Drama series.

        As part of our celebration for pride month, we spotlighted some of our favorite school-themed series that we felt many could enjoy not just for how cute the couples were or the amazing chemistry displayed by the actors but more so about the storylines, their underlying meaning, and how relatable they are to many situations today.         1. "Semantic Error"

        Since its release this year, "Semantic Error" has held its claim as one of the most popular K-Drama BLs that gave viewers a variety of reasons to stay glued to their screens throughout every episode and impatiently wait for the next one after. Starring Park SeoHam as Jang JaeYoung and DKZ’s JaeChan as Choo SangWoo, the campus romance drama tells the story of two individuals with contrasting personalities and charms who due to a conflict are brought into each other's orbit with no way to escape as a budding romantic interest ensues between them. The drama and its riveting storyline still hold so much impact on its viewers as with 38.3% (17,651) total votes, it ranks 1st on this poll.

         

        2. "Blueming"

        Another campus romance with a brilliant storyline that explores various topics on self-worth, insecurities, relationship dynamics, and family, "Blueming" told the story of two freshmen in the university, one who has worked so hard to become popular and another who just effortlessly charms his way into the hearts of many. Starring Kang EunBin as Cha Siwon and Cho HyukJun as Hyung DaWoon, Cha SiWon feeling like his popularity levels were being threatened starts to detest Hyung DaWoon but soon enough he also falls hopelessly in love with him too. Fans and viewers are still very much in love with this series as with 26.1% (12,037) it ranks 2nd on this poll.

         

        3. "Where Your Eyes Linger"

        The one that started it all, starring Han GiChan as TaeJu and Jang EuiSoo as Gook, beyond just the beautiful storyline told by the two actors, their amazing chemistry is what sold this series to many. The lingering gazes, the subtle touches, the clear attraction of both characters, every moment was a heart-fluttering one and viewers could feel every emotion both characters felt. Years after, it is still one of the best BLs released and an instant classic too as with 17.6% (8,121) votes, it ranks 3rd on this poll.
