He originally knew how to play the piano but had about a month and a half to practice the pieces for this particular drama. He emphasized the time he put into studying the mannerisms of different classical pianists to do his character justice. Kim MinJae made a very endearing comment saying that classical music may not have lyrics but it has stories, and once he could understand the stories, the music resonated with him that much more.

Kim MinJae mentioned in an interview, that he thinks he is getting to know his acting style better. He has a talent for dancing and rapping but wants to work more on his singing. When asked what his ideal drama role would be, he said that he would like to try the role of a clown, during the Joseon Dynasty, in a historical drama. The reason being that he would like to become a fun character who also does a lot of Korean traditional dances or something to that effect. This is not only because of his love for dancing but also because he thinks some of his favorite roles have been where he is doing something active. For example, playing the piano in "Do You Like Brahms?"

Kim MinJae says that he wants to experiment in as many different roles as possible in his 20s so that he can improve his talents in his 30s. He is sure to learn a lot during his acting career with that mindset.
