"A Good Day To Be A Dog" is one of the airing dramas that attracts viewers' attention for its light and cute story. The webtoon-based drama features ASTRO’s Cha EunWoo, Park GyuYoung, and Lee HyunWoo as its main characters. It tells the story of Jin SeoWon (Cha EunWoo), a math teacher who is deathly afraid of dogs, and Han HaeNa (Park GyuYoung), a teacher at the same school who transforms into a dog due to a family curse.
For K-Drama connoisseurs, you will have noticed that the drama doesn't give the feeling of being filmed in the capital city, Seoul, but gives more of a smaller city vibe with more nature and cafes. You must be wondering where all these scenes are filmed!
So we have gathered 6 filming locations that you must be curious about.

1. Jinju's Girl's High School
The drama takes place at Garam High School, where the leads are teachers. Garam High School scenes were filmed at Jinju's Girl's High School.
Jinju is located in the South of Korea between Yeosu and Busan. In the drama, the school appears a lot, you can recognize the front door of the school or the main stairs.
But that is not all, some scenes of the drama were filmed in the city of Jinju as well. One of the city's most famous tourist spots is the Jinjuseong Fortress.
2. Gimpo Hangang New City Lake Park
You will most likely remember this scene as it is one of the first romantic moments between HaeNa and SeoWon.
At the park, the two teachers met to leave for the wedding of their colleagues together in the same car. However, ChaeA (Lee SeoEl), who like SeoWon and wanted to join in the same car, arrived at the park looking for them. To hide from her sight, SeoWon opened his yellow umbrella to cover them both.
This park is located in Gimpo and is called Hangang New City Lake Park. With little pride, ponds, moon statues, and beautiful nature, it is a nice place to visit.
3. Cheomseongdae Observatory in Gyeongju
Gyeongju is a tourist city of Korea located on the South East coast (nearby Busan). It is famous for school excursions and its UNESCO World Cultural Heritages. In the drama, the students traveled to Gyeongju for a school trip and had fun in diverse spots of the city.
One of them was the famous Cheomseongdae Observatory constructed during the reign of Queen Seondeok (r. 632-647). They even take a class picture there. If you are planning to visit Korea, Gyeongju is a 'outdoor museum' to not miss.

4. Kookmin Healing Park in Gyeongju
During their school trip in Gyeongju, the four teachers get to canoe. This scene was filmed at Kookmin Healing Park in Gyeongju. It is a place that got popular on social media last winter for looking like Disney's "Frozen" and many people have been visiting since.

5. Q Escape Cafe (큐방탈출카페) in Goyang
In the first episodes of the drama, the teachers went to a scary escape cafe together. The escape cafe they filmed at is not in Seoul but in Goyang (close by) and is named Q Escape Cafe. They have ten thema available, so check their website if you are interested in visiting and you can reserve on their website as well.
6. Padori Beach in Taean-gun
BoGyeom (Lee HyunWoo) and HaeNa went to the beautiful Padori Beach after the wedding of their colleague. It is located on the West Coast. It is a pretty place by all the seasons so if you are planning to visit Korea, you can consider adding it in your travel list.
Bonus: Knotted Bear Cake and Pandan Cafe in JinJu
If you are a cafe and cake lover, you would have noticed the cafe seen in the first episodes where SeoWon gets a bear cake for HaeNa.
A fun fact, the actual cafe and the cake are from two different places!
The cafe is named Cakiyy in the drama but the name of the actual cafe is Pandan (판단) and it is located Jinju as well. As mentioned above, a lot of the places in the drama are from that city.
As for the cake in the form of a bear, it is from the popular store Knotted. If you like cute desserts, you can only remember this cake.
