MoonByul of hit K-pop girl group MAMAMOO is set to make her way to Singapore for her solo concert tour ‘MoonByul 1ST WORLD TOUR [MUSEUM : an epic of starlit]’. CK Star Entertainment is proud to present the Singapore stop, also the only stop in South East Asia, “MoonByul 1ST WORLD TOUR IN SINGAPORE [MUSEUM : an epic of starlit]”, at Capitol Theatre on Apr. 13 2024 (Saturday), 8PM.

MoonByul officially debuted as a member of MAMAMOO in 2014. The group is known for their strong vocal abilities, stable live performances and versatility across genres. Her official position in the group puts her in charge of rap and performance, but the multi-talented artist also boasts stellar vocal skills, having been originally trained as a vocalist.

In 2018, MoonByul marked her start as a soloist with the release of her Single Album “Selfish” (2018). The title track of the same name featured her close friend SeulGi of Red Velvet, who also appeared in the music video.

Two years later, she released her first Extended Play (EP) “Dark Side of the Moon” (2020) to much critical acclaim, soaring to the top of the iTunes Top Album Chart, and achieving the Top 5 position in ten other regions worldwide. Industry giants Rolling Stone and Billboard commended the release, praising MoonByul for her bold artistic vision and “fierce duality as both a singer and rapper”. The album’s lead single 'Eclipse' (2020) also achieved a peak position of 14 on Billboard’s World Digital Songs Sales chart.

With the ardent support of her dedicated fans, “MOOMOO”, MoonByul has been able to build a solid solo career. In a span of just two years, she has held 3 successful solo concerts — Online concert “門OON” in 2020, and physical concerts “Director's Cut : 6equence”, and “Director's Cut : Japan Special Live” both in 2022.

Her upcoming tour, “MoonByul 1ST WORLD TOUR [MUSEUM : an epic of starlit]” signals her triumphant comeback to solo activities, alongside the release of her first Full Album “Starlit of Muse” (2024). The 12-track album with 2 lead singles 'TOUCHIN&MOVIN' (2024) and 'Think About' (2024) reached first place on the iTunes Top Albums Chart in ten different regions and 101,720 album sales in its first week.

These days, not only the main vocals of K-Pop idol groups are getting the attention of fans and others. If the group has a rapper blessed with a unique voice, it is bound to get even more light from the public. You can't miss out on MAMAMOO's MoonByul if you are talking about girl group rappers. MoonByul's voice is unique and not typically her within the K-Pop scene. Her rapping skills are amazing and her deep, husky voice brings in many fans. Her one-of-a-kind voice is appealing to many and her solo works have proven her to be one of the best K-Pop female rappers.

 

2. OH MY GIRL's Mimi

OH MY GIRL's Mimi is another idol you cannot miss out! Apart from the cute and sweet concepts OH MY GIRL has been doing, she looks amazing and unbelievable when she raps. She even has her DJ mix to show off her rapping skills! The video allows you to see that she isn't just a cute face, she has lethal rapping skills too.

 

3. Billlie's Moon SuA

Billlie's Moon SuA is a rising rapper and her skills shine on stage! Her group has many unique, interesting concepts and it allows her to fully show her rapping skills! Outside of her group songs, Moon SuA has covered rap songs, letting her skills do the talking on why she is on the way to being an amazing K-Pop rapper. We think her skills will only continue to go up from here and she's on her way to being an amazing rapper in the K-Pop world!

 

4. (G)I-DLE's SoYeon

If we want to talk about female rappers, it would be criminal to not include (G)I-DLE's SoYeon in the conversation! SoYeon's voice is unique and it always stands out when she is rapping. She's a rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter. She has contributed to creating many of her group's iconic songs such as 'My Bag', 'Tomboy', and many more! Not only that, she is such an amazing rapper that she has even helped train her fellow members to sharpen their rap skills. SoYeon is truly a one-of-a-kind female rapper!

 

5. WJSN's Exy

WJSN's Exy is one of a few idols who has participated in Mnet's "Unpretty Rapstar"! Compared to her sweet and angelic looks, she had her game on back then! Even though her group's concepts are a bit softer and cute, Exy's rapping skills are strong and powerful. We love a sweet, cute face that packs a dynamic skill!
