The 2023 Asia Artist Awards - one of the biggest award shows honoring Asian artists in the fields of films, television, and music - will be held in the Philippines this year. The event will take place on December 14 at the Philippine Arena, which is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest mixed-use indoor theater in the world. Thus, the 2023 AAA is expected to be a celebration of an even grander scale than ever before, boasting stages that will exceed all expectations. It will be co-hosted by the Asia Artist Awards Organizing Committee, TONZ Entertainment, and PULP Live World.

Building on the excitement, Kang Daniel, IVE's Jang WonYoung, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung HanBin will be hosting the event!

In order to display their best performances, K-Pop idols use in-ear monitor during their live stage. In-ear monitors are like little earphones, and they help idols hear their voice properly over the loud soundtrack during performances. You probably noticed those before while watching performances, but it is true that we never really pay close attention to them, yet we should. Because all in-ears worn by K-Pop idols are not the same. Sure, when a group first debut, they usually wear simple in-ears, but as they become more popular, their agency allows them to order customized in-ear monitors, or sometimes they get some offered by their fans.

Just like us, idols express their personality and taste with their customization, and this includes their in-ear. That is why there is so many different kind of style and look for those. Sparkles, letter engraving, or even little gems, the possibility of customization for in-ear is endless, and that's why there is never two of the same kind. So if you haven't took a look at your bias' in-ear before, we suggest you do so, because those reflect a lot the style and personality of an idol. So now, let's seee a top 10 of some of the prettiest customized in-ear monitors .

1. TWICE's Sana

Starting off with Sana's in-ear which is quite unique and very detailed. Full of gears of all sizes and colors, this in-ear reflect perfectly Sana's bubbly personality! And even if other idols might have in-ear decorated with gears, none is as decorative as Sana's. Also gears work together, when one starts moving, the rest do as well, and that's also how members of a same group act towards each other. Maybe that is the meaning behind Sana's in-ear decoration, who knows?

 

2. ONEUS' Xion

Xion's in-ear are just as sparkling and elegant as him. One full of gems that shine bright under the spotlight of the stage, and one with two yellow flowers, reflecting Xion's delicate side. May it be with his voice or his love for the other member Xion proved thousands of time how delicate and lovely he could be, and having flowers on his in-ear really suits him. As for the gems, they could also represent just how precious Xion is, not only as a talented idol, but simply as a person.

 

3. ATEEZ's MinGi

MinGi's in-ear is quite unique for a rapper. While most rappers tend to have all-black in-ears, MinGi opted for something slightly different. With one magenta side covered in gems, and the other side painted of a galaxy black with his name written in traditional typeface. Once again, this pair of in-ear is really similar to MinGi's personality. A bit dark and cool when he's on stage with his powerful rap, and more soft and bubbly when he's off stage, hanging around the other members.

 

4. LE SSERAFIM's Kazuha

Kazuha truly looks like a princess on a daily basis, and her in-ears just go along with those vibes. Full of silver and blue sparkling gems her in-ear cannot be missed. They're just as shiny as her, and with that, she's always the brightest star on stage. Plus, since both of her in-ear are tinted with a cold tone color, it also gives a refreshing feeling, just like Kazuha herself!

 

 

5. CIX's YongHee

YongHee's in-ear are one of a kind, and the meaning behind them is also very unique. In Korean, the character Yong can signify dragon, YongHee having that character in his name decided to make use of it for his in-ear design. While one side of the in-ear is just a simple sparkling silver paint, the other side is much more cooler and detailed. On top of the back paint, there is a turquoise gem and a dragon covering the in-ear. That is one of the coolest design seen on a K-Pop idols' in-ear.

 

6. PURPLE K!SS' Na GoEun

GoEun's in-ear don't seem as decorative as the previous ones considering there is no gems or sparkles on it, yet the art on her in-ear is just as beautiful. You probably noticed the purple color of her in-ear before, which might be a reference to the group's name, but you might have missed the thin drawing on one side of the in-ear. We can see there is a person with flowers instead of a head. That is a very poetic and delicate drawing showing GoEun sensibility in a very discreet way.

 

7. RIIZE's Anton

Anton have been gaining popularity for his visuals those days, yet his in-ear could also be one of his highlights. His in-ear design is very delicate and soft, reflecting quite well Anton's adorable personality. With those warm tones and the air balloon, it just makes us want to go on a road trip with him, holding on to a peaceful feeling and a light heart. Anton has the same effects on fans, so no wonder his in-ears are so communicative.

 

8. ZEROBASEONE's Sung HanBin

HanBin, like many other idols has several pair of in-ear, but the one we saw him wear the most was this one. This full blue set with a marble effect on one side and gems on the other seems like an abstract portrait of the idol himself. HanBin is as refreshing as those cold tones, as flawless as marble and as shiny and precious as gems. With that, it makes no doubts this pair of in ear is HanBin's.

 

9. TREASURE's Park JungWoo

We picked JungWoo's pair of in-ear, but it could have been any of TREASURE's members, or maybe all of them at the same time. Because the unique trait of TREASURE's in-ear is that they're linked together. Not by a thread but by their design. If you take a close look, you'll see that JungWoo's in-ear motif is meant to represent TREASURE's diamond logo, yet it is incomplete. That is because each of the member complete the diamond. From oldest to youngest, the diamonds star goes from 1 to 13, in order to make the full logo for the maknae's in-ear. That is a very creative concept for in-ear.

 

10. SEVENTEEN's SeungKwan

SEVENTEEN members all have quite unique in-ear, but we can't deny that SeungKwan's are among the most beautiful ones. With SEVENTEEN's logo and representative colors on one side and a beautiful blooming tree on the other, it is both pretty, cool, delicate, and colorful. And SeungKwan is all of that as well. Once again, here is a pair of in-ear that represents very well its owner. And if you like SeungKwan's in-ea style, we recommend you to check out Hoshi's one as well, they have similar vibes but different designs!

 

There are thousand of K-Pop idols, thus thousands of in-ear, and all of them are definitely amazing, but it would be impossible to list them all, so here was just a top 10 of our favorite ones. 2. ZEROBASEONE's Sung HanBin

This popular group is making everyone look at them with their insane visuals and talent. Last month, Sung HanBin had the opportunity to perform on a special solo stage on "Mcountdown", and both his performance and outfit were unforgettable. And if his outfit was already quite uncommon, his earrings were also made in such a shape that we had never seen before on any K-Pop idol. As expected from the shining star of ZEROBASEONE, he never goes with the classics.

 

3. TXT's YeonJun

YeonJun is known for being TXT's fashion icon, and his participation in the 2021 New York Fashion Week is just proof of it. While fashion week is mostly about clothes designs, accessories also play an important role. And we cannot forget about YeonJun's unique pair of earrings for that occasion. While many fans compared it to the shape of a tea bag, this piece of jewelry worn by YeonJun was very effective for the vibes of a fashion week.

 

4. Do HanSe

HanSe has always been praised by fans for his unique and norm-breaking fashion, so it is not surprising that he made it to this list. While we've often seen him with unique outfits or hair colors, his collection of earrings is just as peculiar. Like in this picture, where his pair of earrings look more like a key ring than an earring. Yet, it still looks fashionable, outstanding, and unique, just like HanSe himself.

 

5. ATEEZ's WooYoung

During ATEEZ's latest promotions, all members have been looking ethereal with outfits better than ever and incredible visuals. Especially during one special fan meeting that got both ATINY and non-fans of the group to go crazy over them. And we couldn't help but notice WooYoung's unique pair of earrings, that look just like a giant zipper. While it is a very uncommon design, it suited him perfectly and made him look very hot and spicy!

 

6. NCT's Johnny

Let's go back in time and recall one of NCT's unforgettable photoshoots for the unit NCT 2020, and their album "RESONANCE". You probably still remember the very elegant red suits the members got to wear for that photoshoot, but you probably forgot about some amazing earrings some of the members wore. Let us bring back those memories, specifically Johnny's pair of earrings. With the chain to link the earring with the hairpin, it is undeniable that it was a unique earring design he got there.

 

7. Stray Kids' Lee Know

Here is another earring that might have slipped through your sight, but no worries, we're here to show it to you! The concept photos for the album "ODDINARY" were extremely well done, reflecting the vibes of the album itself, and as we were so captivated by the details, we couldn't miss out on Lee Know's earrings. There are so many chains and decorations on it that we can't distinguish all of them! That is probably one of the most uncommon designs we've seen for an earring so far, yet, it still looks very cool, especially on Lee Know.
