These themed series have become an instant favorite not just because they often star many K-Pop idols but also because of their interesting and relatable storylines. Perhaps serving as an eye-opener to many viewers and fans about the realities and the truths of the idol world, whether subtle or fully displayed, a common thread about these series is how well they tackle each of the topics that fans are often curious about.

        From the unwavering desire to achieve their dreams to the struggles, pain, and despair that many also face in that pursuit, and the sacrifices and actions that they may also make in other to stay on top. All these sub-topics and more are often brilliantly told in this themed series. And perhaps after watching them, fans might have an even deeper level of respect and admiration for their favorite idols or groups.

        1. "Fly Again"

        Starring MONSTA X's HyungWon and Kim MyungJi, the web drama tells the story of a genius dancer who is forced to give up the stage, due to an accident. However, after moving to a new school, his passion is reflamed for the stage, as it is on there he feels more alive. Joining a group of students called the "Villians" who share his similar passion, he slowly recovers from his trauma and despite the hurdles he faces, his quest to fly again on stage is bigger. With 57.5% (65,403) of the total votes, fans believe this series tells the best story of the idol world as it ranks 1st on the poll.

         

        2. "Let Me Be Your Knight"

        A series that featured a cast of talented idols, the series tells the story of a famous idol of a boy group LUNA, who unbeknownst to the public suffers from sleepwalking. Trying to make him better while keeping his illness a secret, his company hires a doctor who ends up living in the group's dorm in other to treat him. A story of friendship, love, and self-discovery, this series with its various subplots spotlighted some of the issues around the idol world. From dating scandals to bullying, maltreatment of idols, the individual struggles that many face, and the personal conflicts that may also arise within even the tightest groups. Starring U-KISS's Lee JunYoungJung InSun, Kim JongHyeon (former NU'EST's JR)Yoon JiSung, AB6IX's DongHyun, and Jang DongJoo, with 27.7% (31,512) of the total votes, it ranks 2nd on the poll.

         

        3. "Broke Rookie Star"

        "Broke Rookie Star" served as a delectable plate of comedy, with a side dish of drama and a cold cup of reality. Telling the story of HwiYeon, an idol who due to the fact that he joined his group late is not as famous as the rest of the members and hence he doesn't get the same treatment and opportunities as them. Striving to make ends meet and survive while still keeping his dreams alive and seeking for his big break, he takes up menial jobs in other to earn money and take care of his needs. Though a very funny and delightful series, the series doesn't just rest on comedy alone but also shows us some of the realities of being an idol, and perhaps also answers some of the questions about levels of popularity and its effect in the idol world. Starring ASTRO’s Rocky, Mun JiHu, Choi SeongMin, Lee Sang, and Anzardi Timothée, with 9% (10,201) of the total votes, it ranks 3rd on the poll.
