4 Pieces Of Relationship Advice As Demonstrated By "Marry My Husband"

        tvN

tvN's "Marry My Husband" has been taking the world by storm, constantly reaching new heights of viewership every week. Led by Park MinYoung and Na InWoo, along with the likes of Lee YiKyungSong HaYoon, and Highlight's Lee GiKwang, the drama has effectively swept away the Monday blues and made the start of the week enjoyable and bright.

Following the life of Kang JiWon (Park MinYoung), she learns about the betrayal of her husband Park MinHwan (Lee YiKyung) and supposed best friend Jung SuMin (Song HaYoon). Shortly afterwards, JiWon finds herself thrust 10 years into the past. She uses this opportunity to ensure she does not end up married to Park MinHwan once more. In the process, she grows close to Yoo JiHyuk (Na InWoo) who becomes one of her new pillars of support.

Due to the nature of "Marry My Husband" much of the tvN series is focused on the complexities of a relationship and essentially shows what not to do. Despite these negatives, the K-Drama does offer heartfelt examples that could prove as relationship advice in some way, shape, or form.

With that in mind, here are just some pieces of relationship advice, offered by the increasingly popular K-Drama "Marry My Husband".

        Note: spoilers ahead!

        1. Support Them In Their Endeavors

Entering into a relationship might include being on the same page, but it's also accepting their dreams and desires. A healthy relationship helps to propel your partner towards their goals, whatever they may be.

In the case of "Marry My Husband", Yoo JiHyuk makes it a point to constantly support Kang JiWon in all that she does. Whether it's for a meal kit project or to help her push for MinHwan and SuMin's marriage, Yoo JiHyuk supports JiWon all the through — even more so after he learns that they are both from the future.

        2. Offer Heartwarming Reassurance

In pursuit of any goal, there's bound to be unforeseen obstacles that force us to take unwanted detours. Then, when faced with an immovable hurdle, there's a loss of confidence and resolve. However, when there's a supportive partner by your side, even the most impossible task seems like a piece of cake.

This is made apparent with the presence of Yoo JiHyuk in Kang JiWon's life. Through his unwavering support, he has become a shoulder she can lean on and a listening ear in every situation. He offers her multiple words of warm encouragement, and despite not being together, sets a firm example of what should be done in a relationship.

        3. Keep Things Fun And Exciting With Sweet Surprises

One pitfall many relationships fall into is remaining in the comfort zone for too long and allowing love to stagnate. While comfort is nice, "Marry My Husband" shows what can happen when you stay in the same situation for too long. It's a suffocating experience that slowly wraps itself around your entire body.

However, things change once JiWon goes back in time. For the first time in a long while, she receives butterflies from the actions othose around her. One being Baek EunHo (Lee GiKwang) as he shows up in front of JiWon's working place with a bouquet of flowers. You could feel EunHo's endearing affection towards JiWon, made completely obvious from his warm expression. This served as a welcome surprise to our main heroine, allowing her to feel cared about and loved. This same effect can happen in real life, as long as effort is made to keep a relationship new and exciting, even with the natural passage of time.

        4. Be A Source Of Laughter And Joy

Even if making your partner happy might seem simple and obvious, it can be one of the hardest things to do. There's no guarantee that every day will be easy, then there's the fact that it's only natural to have disagreements. However, in the midst of all of this, it's important to remain a source of laughter and joy.

While helping Kang JiWon pursue her goal, Yoo JiHyuk naturally becomes one of the few reasons she's able to smile and laugh with such radiant warmth. There's an obvious change between her demeanor with him and how she is with Park MinHwan. Whether it's his comforting tone or the simple act of taking her home, JiHyuk serves as a giant green flag just waiting to be noticed.

Have you been keeping up with "Marry My Husband"? What do you think of the drama so far?
