Many Korean celebrities have tattoos and fans are always curious about what they mean or the story behind why they got them. This series will explore the meanings behind some of your favorite celebrities' tattoos.

This week we'll be covering Aaron Kwak (former NU'EST's Aron)'s floral arm tattoo.
You may have noticed Aaron's arm tattoo that is prevalent in many of his Instagram posts.

Initially, he just had a single sentence tattooed across the length of his lower arm that says, "Ignis aurum probat, miseria fortes viros."
This is Latin for, "Fire tests gold, adversity tests strong/brave men."

However, he added some colorful flowers to that tattoo creating a background for the phrase. The tattoo originates from his Hanja (Chinese characters with different meanings) name YoungMin.
'Young' comes from the Hanja for 'flower'. Min comes from the Hanja for 'Autumn Sky'.
So he tried to portray that through flowers that are colored like the autumn sky in his tattoo.
