K-Pop ‘TEENFRESH’ pioneers STAYC today released their Spotify K-Pop ON! (온) Single featuring their rendition of 'FANCY' by TWICE. It’s the final of three Spotify-exclusive covers produced and released as part of the platform’s K-Pop ON! (온) First Crush campaign, which invites listeners to celebrate a shared passion for K-Pop as they reminisce about the first artists who ignited their love for the genre.

We’ve always loved and respected TWICE growing up, and FANCY in particular has given us many shared fond memories from our days as trainees.

Launched in commemoration of the anniversary of K-Pop ON! (온) - Spotify’s global genre flagship playlist dedicated to bringing millions of listeners around the world K-Pop’s very best, the K-Pop ON! (온) First Crush campaign serves as a testament to how the genre touches lives, spreads positivity and unites listeners. Since its inception in 2014, the playlist has amassed over 5.3 million saves by Spotify users worldwide, transcending regional boundaries, languages, and cultures, and racking up billions of streams for Korean artists.

For STAYC, their Spotify K-Pop ON! (온) Single is both a tribute to TWICE, whom they regard as role models, and a trip down memory lane to their pre-debut days. Originally released back in 2019, TWICE’s 'FANCY' quickly became one of the members’ most loved songs at the time, and one they’d practice in the studio as trainees.

Now, STAYC comes full circle with 'Fancy - Spotify Singles,' which features an R&B twist to the 2019 electro-pop hit. In their cover, SuMin, SiEun, ISA, SeEun, Yoon, and J showcase their falsetto, performing the song at a more laidback pace while delivering the sophistication and playfulness of the iconic track.

We’ve always loved and respected TWICE growing up, and 'FANCY' in particular has given us many shared fond memories from our days as trainees. Dancing is crucial to a K-Pop idol's career. The choreography that these groups perform is energetic and detailed. Since K-Pop needs dancing to succeed, many members in groups are given the title of main dancer in their groups.

One of the dancer roles in K-Pop groups is the main dancer role. Main dancers typically have incredible dancing skills. While all members in K-Pop groups are amazing dancers, main dancers usually have training in dance previous to joining their group. They mainly are front and center for dance-heavy comebacks. They are also some of the main ones who get solos and dance breaks! There are countless amazing main dancers in girl groups and they're unique in their way. 1-2. TRI.BE's HyunBin And Mire

This rookie group has an amazing pair of main dancers in their group! TRI.BE's HyunBin and Mire are the skilled main dancers for this girl group. Both girls excel at dancing and they are agile and passionate about their dancing. The girls have their own solo covers and duet videos together, showcasing their abilities as main dancers.

 

3-4. TWICE's Momo And Mina

TWICE's Momo and Mina are the skilled main dancers of this famous girl group. Although their dance styles differ, the girls have shown they are exceptional dancers. Who could ever forget her famous choreography film? BLACKPINK's Lisa has proven over and over why she is the main dancer. Her performances are impeccable and her stage presence is untouchable. It's to be expected from someone who has trained in dancing ever since she was a child!

 

8. NMIXX's KyuJin

NMIXX's KyuJin not only catches onto dances quickly, but her charisma is off the charts! Her foundation in dancing is solid and she can steal the show away with her performance. Her moves are sharp yet she also maintains her flexibility. KyuJin moves are extremely natural and they don't seem forced or artificial. KyuJin's attention to detail and dynamic power are some of the main reasons she deserved the main dancer position!

 

9. Kep1er's DaYeon

Kep1er's DaYeon is a master of knowledge when it comes to dance techniques. Her intensity is noticed by fans and they always commend her for her leadership skills when it comes to formations and creating dances for the group. DaYeon has what it takes to be the main dancer of her group and her incredible skills stand out on the stage and behind it!
