        SoYou is a legend in the K-Pop industry, known for her time as a member of award-winning girl group SISTAR. Even after the group disbanded, SoYou went on to have a successful solo career. Her vocals are simply immaculate and have even allowed her to become a mentor on various survival competition programs.

        The idol singer is overflowing with charms from her lovely vocals to her dazzling figure. She's been known to put in the work to maintain her glamorous physique. It makes many wonder: just how is she able to maintain such a fit and healthy look. Luckily, SoYou doesn't hold her fitness tips to herself and shares it with the rest of the world through her personal YouTube.

        1. Meal Guidelines

        The first tip she shared was meal guidelines. For a keto diet, the main focus is to intake food that's low in carbs and high in fat. She shares her own meals as a baseline of what to eat for beginners. In the morning, she practically stuck to the same meal of scrambled eggs, avocado, and bacon.

        Then for lunch and dinner, she would consume meat products. This usually included chicken drumstick meat, pork belly, beef, and sometimes fish. Of course, she added vegetables to incorporate some greens into her meals. SoYou also shared that in order to see better results, it's best to cook your own food, as you can never be 100% certain of the ingredients inside packaged or processed food.

         

        2. Fasting Time

        For her second time, SoYou talks about the time you spend fasting. While it's important to have three meals a day, when it comes to dieting using the keto method, you will be required to implement a fasting time. SoYou's typical day involves brunch at 10AM then dinner between 6PM - 7PM with a fasting of 17 hours in between. While this might seem extreme, she mentions that some people fast even longer from 24 to 36 hours.

         

        3. Exercise Routine

        Like any diet, it's important to pair it with a invigorating exercise routine. SoYou provides examples of her own exercise plans. While she might lift lighter, she increases her repetitions to compensate. She also suggests to add variety to your workout in order to have variance and so your body is not confined to the same movement all the time.

        SoYou shares that one of the pros of a ketogenic diet is that she faced little to no stress. While many diets can become a burden due to the consideration of what to eat and what not to eat, keto was completely different. It allowed her to meet up with friends and share the same meal together, without being restricted by her diet. With such a healthy mindset, she was able to tackle her diet worry free and actually enjoy the entire process.
