If you have been a K-Drama viewer for quite some time, you would have noticed the theme of a love story with Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Few dramas were on this theme and the actors who took the roles of AI were perfect for the role. Of course, a love story with an AI would mean pain and obstacles. However, these AIs have their own quality and specificity. For example, they can guess what you think from your heartbeat and body's temperature, they can hack into any system to save or help you, their knowledge database has no limit, etc. Their common point? They have eyes for one and only girl.

Here are 3 AIs that made us fall for them.

1- "My Absolute Boyfriend" - Zero Nine

The list needs to start with THE emblematic drama "My Absolute Boyfriend" (2019). You might not be familiar with the recent Korean adaptation of the Japanese manga “Absolute Boyfriend” by Yuu Watase. But the story has been previously adapted in Japan in 2008 and in Taiwan in 2012. The story of a girl who falls in love with an android robot was popular all around Asia.

The Korean adaptation had Yeo JinGoo taking the role of romantic android robot Zero Nine. His over-the-top confession style, crazy outfits, and cute attitude.

2- "Are You Human Too?" - Nam Shin III

"Are You Human Too?" is one of the best dramas with the AI theme. Seo KangJoon took on the role of android robot Nam Shin III who is smart, athletic, and innocent. He melted the heart of viewers with his heroic scenes, romantic moves, and handsome look.

He is all-in into the female character and he is ready to do everything for her. His signature line was "The rule is to hug you if you cry".

3- "My Holo Love" - Holo

"My Holo Love" is a Netflix Orginal drama that was just released on Feb. 7. It is a new addition to the list of dramas about AI. This time it is not an android robot but a hologram that only the owner can see through his/her glasses. At the different of android robots, he cannot physically interact.

Yoon HyunMin took on the role of the hologram named Holo who started to feel romantic feelings. Through the glasses, he brings the owner to beautiful places like in a VR experience. For example, he can make his owner see auroras from his sofa.

Note - "I'm not a Robot"

"I'm not a Robot" (2017) with Yoo SeungHo and Chae SooBin is also on the theme of AI. The main male character thinks he falls in love with an android robot however, it is a human pretending to be a robot.

K-Dramas sometimes serve as a parallel to real life, presenting main characters we can relate to on a personal level. Even if they are life-saving doctors or charismatic lawyers, their traits seem perfectly human and natural. There's no doubt that if they were to shake off that main character prestige, they would be just like the rest of us.

Then there are those male leads who have something 'special' about them — and by special, we mean they have some type of superpower. Now, superpowers are practically non-existent in real life, so these K-Drama leads already have an edge on us normal folk. They wow audiences with their out of this world abilities and show a charm that cannot be produced in real life. These powers are the definition of cool and have fans talking for hours.

So let's meet some of these male leads who have amazed viewers with their super human abilities!

1. "You Who Came From the Stars" - Do MinJoon

Do MinJoon was an iconic role for Kim SooHyun in the legendary drama "You Who Came From the Stars". He was quite literally out of this world, being an alien who came down from outer space.

His skillset includes the ability to stop time, teleportation, levitation, and so much more! Do MinJoon was a force to be reckoned with. If his superpowers were not enough, he also possessed impressive intellect and jaw-dropping visuals. There were actual no holes in Do MinJoon.

2. "Gu Family Book" - Choi KangChi

Considering Choi KangChi, played by the iconic Lee SeungGi, was both part human and part gumiho, it comes as no surprise that he has supernatural abilities.

When he turns into a Gumiho, KangChi gains superhuman strength, an increase in speed, and increased regenerative abilities. With Lee SeungGi at the helm of this character, it seems Choi KangChi gained one additional ability: the power to steal the hearts of fans everywhere. Now that's what you call overpowered.

3. "Are You Human Too?" - Nam Shin III

With Seo KangJoon playing the part of Nam Shin III, many were smitten by his jaw-dropping good looks. But that wasn't his only impressive trait in "Are You Human Too?".

The technologically advanced android possessed superhuman strength, a built in lie detector, and access to all the knowledge in the world. But quite honestly, the list simply goes on. Despite having circuits and wires in place of an actual heart and brains, Nam San III had the heart of a normal person, developing traits of an ordinary human being.

4- "Where Stars Land" - Lee SooYeon

On the outside Lee SooYeon, played by Lee JeHoon, seems like an ordinary airport employee. But underneath that air of normalcy is a robotic limb that screams anything but normal.

With it, Lee SooYeon possesses superhuman strength and the ability to withstand numerous blows to his arm. While the origin story behind his robotic limb is filled with pain and trauma, SooYeon overcomes those hardships and uses his newfound power to help those around him. With it, he's already saved multiple, becoming a hero in broad daylight. Not all heroes wear capes — if they're anything like Lee SooYeon, they wear tailored suits instead.
