For those who might not know, "Havana" is a crime thriller/courtroom drama that tells the story of a rookie public attorney JeongMin, played by Kang MinHyuk, who picks up a case defending the suspect of a strange murder. The defendant is YoonAh (played by Yoo DaIn), a woman suspected of murdering her husband by sealing his mouth and nose with glue. This case comes to be known as the "Bond Murder Case".

Despite all evidence pointing to YoonAh as the murderer, JeongMin is convinced of her innocence, but when she keeps going back and forth between statements, admitting to the crime one moment and denying her guilt the next, things get complicated. However, JeongMin is determined to get to the truth of the matter, no matter what it takes to do so.

The film is written and directed by practicing lawyer and filmmaker Hong YongHo, with 20 years of experience in the legal field. As a director, he specializes in legal stories. It is no wonder then that this film is so well-made, with due attention paid to the most intricate details. Actress Yoo DaIn, who is trusted by the public as the queen of art films, delivered a spectacular performance, as always, and Kang MinHyuk brought a fresh, charismatic yet artfully restrained charm to the character of JeongMin, propelling the story to a marvelous climax.

Kang MinHyuk's approach to the high-tension courtroom scenes in the film appears effortless and natural, proving his mettle as an actor. His controlled and calm yet passionate acting as an eager new lawyer is conveyed with unwavering conviction and amplifies the immersion of the film. His screen presence is immaculate, ensuring that no one can take their eyes off of him. Moreover, despite the abundance of legal jargon in the script, Kang MinHyuk does an excellent job of delivering his lines with remarkable ease and finesse.
