If you're new to Kim YoungDae, here is some basic information about him. Kim YoungDae was born on March 2, 1996, and he has been destined for great things since his younger years.
In fact, even his birth was special. He was born weighing 4.4. kilograms, setting a record at the hospital where he was born. This only goes to show how he was destined to be a special person who makes a lasting impression on people for the rest of his life.
During his middle school days, he also often got casting offers to be a model.
Additionally, as a student, he became a global citizen. He was an exchange student in China's Harbin (a sub-provincial city) and attended an international school there. He met the CEO of his agency at that time and this led to his desire to start an acting career.
As a result of his time in China, he is fluent in Chinese and he even adopted the Chinese name Chin YongTta (written as 찐용따 in Korean) which ended up being affectionately shortened to the cute nickname Tata.
Not only was he a global citizen and stellar model owning the runways at an early age, but he also made a splash in the acting world, too. He has had an incredible journey as an actor so far, considering his years of experience.

In "Extraordinary You" (2019) he showed an endearing comical side as Oh NamJoo. His character was classified as a jerk but he still won his way into the hearts of fans.
In "The Penthouse: War In Life" franchise (2020-2021) he acted the role of Joo SeokHoon. This is probably the role that he is most famous for as it resulted in a spike in popularity for him. Not only did he show diverse sides of himself as an actor through the rollercoaster-like storyline, but many fell for his sweet side whilst watching his love line, too.
His role in "Sh**ting Stars" (2022) as Gong TaeSung proved, once again, that he is a great fit for comedic dramas. He was the essence of funny and sweet, making fans' hearts swell at the portrayal of his character. Many were impressed by Kim YoungDae's overflowing charm as Gong TaeSung.
His role as Lee Heon in "The Forbidden Marriage" (2022) was serving regal perfection as he captivated fans with his royal look. Fans also couldn't stop raving about the chemistry between him and his female lead, once again. One thing is for sure, Kim YoungDae has a lock on romantic characters.
