One of the most powerful, innovative, and genre-defining 4th generation K-Pop boy groups, MCND, has officially made their highly-awaited comeback with their 4th mini-album "The Earth: Secret Mission Chapter.2". As a continuation of the saga woven in "The Earth: Secret Mission Chapter.1", the group's 2021 EP, MCND is back stronger than ever as they explore new musical avenues and solidify their signature soundscape.

The title track '#MOOD' is the perfect anthem for Generation MZ, establishing MCND as the voice of the youth. The group's leader, CASTLE J wrote and co-composed the song, imbuing it with MCND's unique style. CASTLE J also wrote and co-composed 'Juice', and co-wrote the songs 'Blow' and 'Back To You'.

With the predominant theme of fun and dynamism, this time, MCND is on a mission to finally reach out to GEM in person and steal their hearts. After all, that's what brought them from Kepler1649c to Earth! In keeping with this central motivation, MCND will soon be embarking on their America Tour, where the group's purpose of meeting GEM will finally materialize.

You are exploring sounds and concepts of a new color with “W.A.T.1”. Can you tell us more about how you transitioned into this new rockstar image?

There were so many concepts that we wanted to try, but this time, we wanted to deeply capture our own freedom and individuality in music. At first, there were many worries, but it was fun to fuse our freedom and individuality unexpectedly while preparing. We're going to try a variety of concepts, so please show a lot of interest!

What will be the first thing you do when you meet GEM after so long?

I was the most disappointed that we couldn't meet because of the pandemic. When we meet this time, we want to talk and sing our songs together. I'm so nervous to officially meet the fans.

Through the special “BORN UP” series, MCND is sharing the reality of idol life and the process of making art with GEM all over the world. Why do you think it is important to be honest and vulnerable with your fans?

Through the BORN UP series, MCND's official YouTube channel content, we showed our worries and thoughts in the process of preparing for GEM. Our splendid performance is important, but I think our preparation process is also a part of creating a stage. I think our image here touched the fans sincerely.

If you could shoot any reality content while on tour in America, what kind would it be and why? Do you have any plans for such content at the moment?

I want to film daily vlogs of not only performing on stage but also enjoying local food and things to see during the America tour. I think we'll be able to communicate freely with local GEM.
